Chapter 50

As I got the chance to get near, agad-agad ko namang sinabunot ang buhok ni Quincy. I was really so done with this bitch. Marami na siyang ginawa nakaka-imbyerna sa buhay ko. Kailan niya ako titigilan? Kailan siya lalayo sa buhay ko? Sa landas ko? Dahil ayokong-ayoko makita siya. She was one of who indirectly killed my cousin, tapos ngayon may gana pa siyang landiin ang boyfriend ko?! To hell with her!

"Xavierre, tama na!" Ares' baritone told me. Pilit niya kami pinaghihiwalay, but of course, I won't budge that easily. I want to teach this bitch a lesson.

I paused. "Hayaan mo muna ako!" I shot back. "Matagal na akong pikon sa babaeng 'to!" then I started pulling her hair again. Hindi man lang siya makalaban sa akin. Her screams were just showing the pain she is receiving. Hanggang sa mapahiga na siya sa lupa.

Naramdaman ko ang higpit mula sa akin braso. I knew it was Ares. Sa sobrang higpit, inilayo niya ako kay Quincy. He almost pushed me away!

I was breathing heavily. My chest was already heaving with anger. I want to attack her again, pero lumapit si Rachelle sa akin, at pinigilan ako. Quincy's eyes were shocked when she saw her friend.

I can feel my tears pooling already. Tinulungan ni Ares na makatayo si Quincy. Her hair was already disheveled, and she was looking at me like I'm a threat to her.

Nilipat ko ang atensyon kay Ares. "Why did you stop me?!" I hurled, as I looked at him sharply. His lips went still into a grim line. "She fucking kissed you! It's very normal for me to attack her like that!"

Susugurin ko sana ulit si Quincy, kaso hinila ako pabalik ni Rachelle, at si Ares ay hinarangan na agad ako.

Doon na tumulo iyong mga luha ko. I tried to wipe them away but they keep on falling down. "B-bakit ka ba n-nandito, ha?" I faltered, while sobbing. "Is this the busy routines you were referring to? Mas busy ka kay Quincy kaysa sa akin?"

Ares avoided a glance. He looked away, then sighed heavily. Lumapit siya sa akin. "Let me explain, babe—"

Then Quincy's evil laugh cut him off.

"Why don't you tell her the truth right now, Ares?" hamon niya. Her smirk tells that something was really going on. My forehead creased. "Nagreunion na rin naman tayo, e. I think it's better to tell the good news."

"Quincy, umayos ka nga," Rachelle spats.

Natawa si Quincy, at hindi siya pinansin.

"Be quiet," Ares' voice thundered.

"Bakit? Is it hard to tell the truth to your one and only?" she countered. "Kung mahal ka naman talaga niya, tatanggapin niya 'yon."

"I said, be quiet—"

"Ano ba 'yon, Ares?" I asked him directly, because I cannot take the suspense anymore. Bakit lagi na lang ganon? Bakit kailangan pa nilang maglihim kung ano man 'yon? Why this does always revolves on hiding secrets?

"Tell her, Ares," Quincy told.

Napa-iling si Ares, at bigla hinila ako palayo. Why is he like this? Pilit ko'ng pumiglas, pero hindi siya bumibitaw. When I tried to escape from his hold again, he looked at me sharply and darkly.

I returned the look as well. "What's the truth?" I ask.

"Wala. 'Wag ka makinig sa kanya," he spats, and pulls my arm again. Thankfully, nakapiglas na talaga ako. "Ano ba, Xavierre? Umuwi na tayo."

"Ano ba kasi iyong tinutukoy ni Quincy?! Ano ba talaga 'yon? Please just tell me already, because I'm dying of curiousi—"

"Tell her already that I'm pregnant, Ares!" Quincy interrupted. Napatigil ako, at unti-unting humarap sa kanya. Rachelle's eyes were also evident with shock. Bumaling ako kay Ares, at nakita ko siyang nakapikit nang mariin. "...and you're the father."
