Chapter 7-Raven

The whole day was all going by so slowly. I'm really worried about Kai, he's never been like this before. What did he say her name was... Hera...Meira. Oh it doesn't matter. Like lady said in my dream, names don't matter. What does matter is he shouldn't be worried, she probably doesn't even go to this school, right? "You never know when everythings about to change now do you?" Real encouraging just what I needed

"Hey Raven!" Huh, oh Sky's here I guess I better stop zoning out.

"Hey Sky."

"I've been looking for you, Melody had class otherwise she would be here too."

"So what's the deal?" I really was confused. I'm the ones who usually find them. Unless, I groan, do they need help with homework. "Sorry Sky I'm too busy to-"

"Happy Birthday my little Bunny."

"Wait, what."

"Your offically 16, wait you forgot your birthday?!"

"Well no, no, no- Okay somethings have been on my mind. And you know my family isn't really big on b-days." It's true our family motto is everyday is a special day.

"Well cutie your coming to the afterschool, I mean it! It's your birthday so my goody bunny two shoes mall at 5 and..."

"And?"

"Homework tomorrow, no excuses!"

"But what if I break down with the flu-"

"Your still coming, we even told your mom and she agrees 100% you need to start a social life." "That was your best escape, the flu?" Well I really thought she would by it, geez don't judge. Finally giving in to my determined friend I say,

"Fine, thanks Sky and invisible Melody I'll be there."

"Alright! See you at 5." She waved at me and gestured to my cheeks, "Bye Cutie." Sigh, I really wonder why my friends think I'm cute. I mean the guys around here don't think so. "Always looking for the grass on the otherside." I wasn't. Just zip it. Grrr the nerves.

I quickly rush off to find Kai so I can go home and prepare. For once today I finally feel happy and not stressed. Still going to the mall... would that disregard Kai's warning. Whatever, mall here I come!

"Alright honey ready to see how you look." I had tried convincing my mom that we were just going to the mall. But my mom insisted on me wearing something a bit more dressy.

"I know and I don't want you to attract any unwanted attention but at least a step above casual is what I'm saying."

I turn to the mirror and I'm wearing a thin layer of black eyeshadow. My mom knew that it's the eye that I'm attracted to. I smile. Other then that was a little layer of blush, so thin I barely saw it if I blinked. A shiny coat of lip gloss and she had tied my hair into a bun.

"I don't want your hair in your eye, I know it's just the mall but remember to keep an eagle eye."

"Raven remember the rules, honey go over them with her so she doesn't forget." My dad really knows how to make me feel like a baby.

"No talking to strangers." I blushed, oh if only they reminded me then. I learned my lesson on that one.

Mom and dad continued to throw all the rules on me, "Be polite." "Call me when you want to leave." "When you eat don't chew with your mouth open." "Always watch your surroundings.
