"Don't you think you're blowing things out of proportion?" Aspen asks as I add some laxatives into the coffee.Am I?
"Nope," I reply, tossing the little packets away and stirring it.
"Why are you doing this again?" Jess questions.
"He said that my hair looked like burnt ramen," I tell her.
"What's up, chicas?" Asher calls out, pulling up a chair and sitting at our table. We all just stare at him. "Okay, then," He turns and looks at me. "Did you pick up my coffee? The lady at the front said you did."
I nod, sliding the coffee cup over to him.
He takes a sip. "It tastes a bit off. Pass me the sugar, Chase."
I pass him a couple packets of sugar and watch him add it to his drink.
Aspen and Jess give me "Bad idea" looks but I simply smirk in response.
Asher takes another sip of his coffee and sighs. "Perfect."
I bite my lip to prevent myself from laughing as he practically chugs his drink.
"I got to head to work, see you guys later," Asher stands up and walks away.
"How many packs did you put in there?" Jess asks as we watch Asher leave the cafe.
"A lot," I reply.
"You're a terrible person," Aspen tells me.
I grin. "I know."
:::
My phone starts ringing loudly as I'm watching TV.Asher
I mute the TV and answer my phone.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU PUT IN MY DRINK?!" Asher screams the second I answer.
I'm about to crack up, but I can control myself.
"What are you talking about?" I ask, innocently.
"Chase, don't freaking play games with me. I know you put something in there," He says.
"I can't believe that you would accuse me of such a thing," I gasp.
"What the hell did you put in there? I'm naked, my foot's asleep, everything hurts! It's that bad!"
"Dada! Play!" I hear Harper yell.
"Just a second, baby. Dad will be out in a minute," Asher yells back. "Chase, I'm going to kill you."
I snicker. "Have fun."
I hang up before he can say anything.
Revenge is sweet.
And stinky in this case.
Maybe a bit painful as well.
