"IT AIN'T MY FAULT YOU KEEP TURNING ME ON!" I bleat at the top of my lungs.
"Oh for the love of god! Please stop!" Jace and Asher both beg.
"My car, my music, my rules," I snap and go right back to singing. "I CAN'T TALK RIGHT NOW!"
After a couple minutes, the song is over and I stop singing.
"Okay, Ash, you can choose the next song," I tell my boyfriend, glancing over at him.
He's looking at me with a horrified expression and is pressed up against the window.
"What?" I ask, looking at the road.
"You are a terrible singer, baby," He says. "There's no sugar-coating that."
"That's why Nathaniel Baldwin invented headphones," My brother says from the backseat.
"To save us from your sister's horrifying singing," Jace adds. "God bless him."
"Why do we have to see Lola?" Chandler asks as I pull into the senior residence.
"Because she wants to meet Asher," I say.
"Why am I with you then?" Chandler questions,
"You're coming along because Mom and Dad want the house to themselves. Jace is with us because we don't know what else to with him."
"Just hook me up with a girl and I'll leave y'all alone," Jace says.
I sigh. "I don't know any girls who are young enough for you or single."
"Damn. You need to make more friends," Jace says.
"And you need to quit being so horny all the time," Asher tells him.
"Says you. Do remember how horny you were?" Jace questions.
"That was before Chase."
"Does that mean my sister doesn't turn you on?" Chandler butts in.
I park the car as the boys talk about the different types of horny.
"Let's go," I say, opening the car door.
The three idiots get out of the car and join me.
"Was this necessary?" Asher asks, tugging on his tie.
I swat his hand away and fix his shirt. "First impressions matter, babe."
"Oh come on. There's a million things I could've worn, but you wanted khakis and shirt. Oh and a tie. It's a 100 degrees outside."
"But you look so good," I gush, ruffling his hair a bit.
His arms loop around my body and he pulls me close.
"Not as good as you," He says.
I roll my eyes with a smile playing on my lips. "Just take the compliment, Bradley."
He lowers his head and our lips meet.
"Can y'all not?" Chandler asks as Asher and I are kissing.
I take one of my hands off Asher and use it to flip my brother off.
"Seriously, why do they kiss for so long?" Chandler asks.
"Oh boy. You haven't had your first kiss yet, have you?" Jace questions.
Asher and I pull apart and exchange smiles.
"Let's go, boys," I say, leading them inside.
Chandler and I talk to the receptionist before going to our grandma's room.
"She's gonna hate me," Asher moans, miserably as we wait for her to open the door.
"No she won't," I assure him, taking his hand in mine.
"Chase! Chandler!" Lola greets us, opening the door.
I drop Asher's hand so I can hug her. She's in her 60s but looks at and acts like she's 30.
"Come in. I'm so glad you're here," She says with a happy smile.
The four of us go inside and she makes us sit down on the couches.
"You must be Asher," She says.
My boyfriend tugs on his shirt and nods.
"It's nice to meet you, ma'am," He says, offering her a handshake.
"Oh call me Lola," She says, shaking his hand.
Asher gives her a smile while clutching my hand.
As Lola turns to talk to Chandler and Jace, I confort my boyfriend.
"She won't like me," I mock him in a quiet voice.
"I get nervous when it comes to you," He says.
I kiss his cheek, making him smile.
"Asher and Jace, could you do me a favor and go down the hall and ask Ms.Dubrios for my book?" Lola asks.
"Sure." Asher and Jace both stand up.
Before leaving, Asher gives me a quick kiss on the lips.
Once the two boys are out of the room, Lola comes over to me.
"You're in love," She sings.
I blush. "Is it really that obvious?"
"Oh yeah. You look at him with so much love in your eyes. Very cute. He looks at you the same way."
"We've only been together for a month and a half. Do you think it's too soon to be in love?"
"What? Of course not!"
"But what if he doesn't love me back?"
"Chase, I've seen the way he's been looking at you. He's definitely in love with you."
If she can figure that out in just a couple minutes, then I'm absolutely clueless.
All of a sudden we hear screaming coming from the hallway.
Lola's eyes widen. "Oh no. I forgot!"
