"Harper, look!" I point to another gorilla.
The 23 month old in my arms starts laughing as he watches the gorillas.
"Harp, here," Asher holds out cotton candy for Harper.
Harper's eyes go wide when he sees the pink fluffy cloud of sugar.
Asher gets his phone out and takes a picture of Harper with the cotton candy. I tell him to crop me out if he posts it anywhere. He frowns but nods.
"Boo," Somone says.
Asher jumps and looks behind him with a startled expression.
A boy around our age and with black hair stands there with a huge grin.
"Jace, I'm going to beat your ass," Asher says with a laugh.
"Too busy with your girl to remember that you were supposed to pick me up?" The boy, Jace, asks.
"Ah shit. I completely forgot! Sorry, man," Asher apologizes with a friendly slap on Jace's back.
"Wanna introduce me to your girl?" Jace asks, looking at me.
"I'm not his girl," I say.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I just go to school with him, our best friends are dating so we're acquaintances, and I babysit Harper."
"Harper doesn't ne—"
"Food! Let's get some food!" Asher interrupts Jace.
"Huh?" I give him a weird look.
Jace's mouth forms an "o" shape as he looks at me with a knowing expression.
"Chase, you want a sausage right? I'll get you a sausage," Asher informs me and runs on off while dragging Jack with him.
"I don't eat sausage," I say out loud.
Harper looks at me before finishing the cotton candy.
"What else should we see, baby?" I ask him.
He points over at the pandas which are three enclosures away.
We walk over there and watch the pandas play.
"Chase?" I hear someone faintly yell. I look around but I don't see anyone familiar.
"Chase? Harper?" The voices are louder and frantic.
I turn around and spot Asher running straight to me.
How does he look attractive while running? From a front view too.
"Chase," He breathes, hugging me tight.
I freeze in shock.
What is happening? Why is he hugging me?
"You're okay?" He asks pulling back and cupping my face.
I nod. "Why?"
"There's these people who are my dad's company's rivals and they found out that we're here. Now they're going to attack us basically so we need to always be aware."
