"I guess it's simple. I applied for a bunch of different colleges but I wasn't certain if I wanted to even go. Then we became friends and you told me about Rice. It turned out they had accepted me. Once you opened your letter and found out that you got in, I accepted their offer. That's really all there is to it," Asher explains, tracing the lines on my hands.
"But you never told me that," I tell him.
"I wanted to surprise you."
"How?"
"Well, I was planning on doing a really dramatic goodbye at the airport tomorrow and then seeing you the next day, but I can't anymore."
I feel guilty that I ruined his plans.
"I'm sorry, baby," Asher says, pressing his lips against my hand for a second. "I didn't mean to hurt you."
My lips tug into a small smile.
Asher catches sight of it and he gives me a full blown grin.
"You're not mad at me anymore?" He asks, dropping my hands.
"Baby, you're Asher. I can't be mad at you."
His smile gets even bigger. "And you called me baby again."
I pinch his cheeks. "That's because I love you." I let go of him and see his entire face turn red.
"I love you too, sunshine," He tells me, blushing.
I mock gasp. "Holy shit. Is Asher Bradley flustered?"
Asher blushes harder. "What? No."
"I think he gets all shy whenever his hot girlfriend tells him that she's in love with him."
Asher rolls his eyes and cups my face. "I love you."
"I love you too, baby."
He places his lips on mine and pulls me onto his lap. One of his arms is around me with his hand on my lower back. His other hand is on the side of my thigh. I have both my hands clutching his soft blonde hair.
"I love you," I say against his lips.
He smiles and kisses me even more passionately.
My heart and brain go crazy as we get really into it.
Asher and I pull apart once we hear a loud scream.
I glance back and see my little brother squeezing his eyes shut.
"What do you want?" I ask.
"I'm going to puke," He replies with a disgusted groan.
Asher lowers his hand to my butt and slaps it.
Chandler runs out screaming as my boyfriend and I laugh.
Asher kisses my cheek. "I love you too."
As I get off of him, I nearly fall backwards. But since Asher is a wonderful boyfriend, he catches me before I hit the ground.
"I should've let you fall, clumsy," He says, wrapping his arms around me and kissing the top of my head.
"Wow, thanks."
Asher lets go of me. "Let's go see what Chandler wants."
We go to my little brother's room and knock on the door.
