(I know that there is a day or so time inconsistency but I prefer it this way.)

Laughs echoed through the halls as well as small footsteps, a silver blob was going as fast as was possible for it to. Soon another blob followed desperately trying to catch up but Filius realised that he and she were not all that dissimilar as their tiny legs couldn't carry them very far, very quickly. "Alice." His tone wasn't angry or demanding just desperate and slightly out of breath. Peeves watched from a distance as the pair travelled through the castle and struggled up through the corridors. They had been doing this for close to an hour yet she was still travelling just as quickly. Much to the dismay of the child and Peeves this was all stopped suddenly when long arms reached the girl from above. "Filius, not running you about is she?" Poppy asked slightly joyous and he grumbled with an annoyed look. "I turned around to literally put a book down." The healer was smiling brightly down at the small girl who was now burying her face into the older woman's neck. "I shall take her now." Filius wanted to turn her down but he was too tired for a repeat of before. "Little man syndrome." Peeves commented as he flew above the three of them. "Judging by her heart rate the pair of you have been running for a while." He nodded but had already started to leave as he mumbled 'an hour', she didn't know if she should be proud or disappointed but she decided on the first. "No wonder you are tired." She muttered to the small girl. "Maw." Never would she get used to being called that. Poppy was pleasantly walking to find some company to drown her boredom. "Poppy. What are you up to?" Minerva asked and the curiosity weighed heavily in her voice. "Wasting time. Boredom is a great enemy of mine." Minerva could only agree with the woman and also empathising with her. The pair had decided to go with one another to the grounds for a walk.

The sleeping form soon budged and woke up. When this happened her perky voice spoke "Maw, Mamma." Her tone was as if she was in forming one about the other. "Hello darling." Minerva scrunched up her nose as she greeted the girl as she wiggled free from the strong arms all the way down to the grass below. "How come you aren't with your husband?" Minerva sighed and explained about a meeting with Albus and she was going to head home soon but she just wanted time. "POO!" Silver locks bounced as the young girl declared the state of her nappy. The two rolled their eyes as they turned and headed to gather nappies. Small chubby fingers wrapped around the pairs middle finger as the three walked to the castle. "Albus hasn't seen her for nearly two hours. This isn't usual for him." The pair knew that Voldemort was closing in on the wizarding world so they exchanged desperate looks with the other. The grass was dry and relatively flat as they eventually made it to the doors. "I trust that you can change another nappy." Minerva nodded knowing that she had just been given a job she really didn't wish for.

"That man owes me." Minerva huffed as she pulled the dress back down to cover the girl's legs. "Mamma!" She giggled as the older witch tickled the sides of the girl with careful fingers. "Dop!" Her childish voice spoke begging in her own way to 'stop'. Eventually Minerva did that and let the girl roam free but she didn't see the door open or silver locks leaving the room.

"What do we have here?" Peeves announced loudly making her laugh and sit on the step not far from her. Blue eyes scanned him carefully as she studied him. Normally the others would pull her from him so she had never met him before. "Little Alice all alone." Her girlish giggle bounced along the walls quietly. "Do you want some fun?" She nodded really quickly and watched as he bounced and flew around. "Great!" He exclaimed mischievously for the small girl to hear and her giggles couldn't be contained anymore as they shot through the halls. Portraits cautiously watched on feeling ready to tell someone if needed. Severus had taken this time to walk past the pair and when he was far enough away Peeves spoke. "That is nanny." Her head nodded and she repeated "NANNY." He laughed at the child and this made her only sound louder. The pair slowly wandered the castle till dinner arrived and he guided her to the hall. "Go find Nanny." Straight silver strands nodded and she walked in. Minerva went red when she realised that the girl was supposed to be in her care but had obviously wandered off at one point. The table consisted of all the professors due to work from the beginning of the year and so it didn't take long for her to spot Snape. "Nanny." She cast and snorts were attempted to be muffled out as the girl ran to the man. "I guess this was Peeves." His voice was bored and dull but still she laughed at it. "Alice darling. Come sit with me." Rolanda Hooch called the girl and she obeyed. A phonetic sounding 'H' passed the plump lips as she sat with the professor.

The day had passed quickly as the professors all returned home and Albus waves them all off with his daughter. Each one got a kiss and a hug from the small girl. Eventually Poppy had left as well as Irma so only Snape remained. As he left she clung to him unexpectedly so, as he apparated she came to Spinners end also. "Little shit." He blurted and went straight back to Hogwarts. "My apologies. She just likes to hug everyone goodbye." Snape sneered at the girl but turned beetroot red when she spoke. "Little shit." Albus was obviously furious at the man but held it back. "Perhaps we could watch our tongue around the children." Snape huffed pretending not to be bothered and apparated alone this time. "We do not use that word Alice." Her mind was obviously else where and so he didn't bother to push it further as he knew she was still young and so would hopefully forget it soon enough. He was wrong as the small girl would cast the expletive out often. Peeves enjoyed the sight but Albus wasn't pleased to say the least. Albus found the castle to be odd as only the pair and Filch along side his cat remained. No other soul remained but the old man remained busy staying with the small girl.

October 31st. Albus felt the blood drain from his face when a sobbing Severus explained the events that he had seen. The baby was still there though and so Albus sent a patronus to Hagrid asking him to collect the baby and meet him at 4 Privet drive. The old man collected his own child and clung onto her for dear life as he left the grounds and apparated. The lights were removed from the lamps and so they bathed in darkness. A stray cat caught his eye and he kindly spoke to the professor. Their discussion was formal and she held the sleeping girl in her arms watching as the breath entered and left the small being. Minerva's lips would often contact the top of her head in order to comfort the older woman. Her shawl was wrapped around the baby who lay in an all in one and a night sleeper outfit. Albus assured that it only meant she couldn't up and leave the room at night. A bright light shone through the sky as Hagrid appeared with a baby strapped to him. Obvious caution and apprehension was displayed by the words and actions of Minerva as Harry was handed to Albus. So desperately she wanted to take Harry and raise him away from the awful muggle family but Albus was so sure of it all. The four all left the child and letter in hopes that he would be lovingly cared for.
