Alice had lost her father. Well she wasn't his mother but she couldn't find him so to her he was lost. "What was the point in that?" Alice asked dryly as her alongside Snape, McGonagall, Pomfrey walked up the path towards the school. "They needed to make sure that you didn't know where Albus is." Poppy was trying to comfort her but nothing would work. Alice had worn a rather short dress that had a thin lace across the top of her chest and met at a band around her collar area. Stockings had been worn as well as black high heels so she felt no comfort at all. As they approached the castle Hagrid could be seen walking through the squelching mud that the rain had caused. The umbrellas that the staff used were effective enough. "Did I have to go to the ministry though?" No answer came but the four stopped when she did and her upper leg became more visible. "Ali cat what are you doing?" Her voice showed the shock and Snape cleared his throat awkwardly. "Taking my stockings off." When she spoke this she dropped to a crouched position and removed her shoes. The silver hair lay perfectly curled by her sides but the rain would ruin this in a second. "I would like to get in." Snape ground out. He was the one holding the umbrella for her whilst the two other women shared the umbrella holding responsibility between them in turns. "Why are you doing this?" When the words slipped from his mouth she suddenly bolted up but her height was less than before as the heels lay by her feet. "I didn't want to get them dirty." As Snape realised her words his hand went out to reach for her but instead he caught air. Her entire body flung itself at Hagrid as she held him close and sobbed into his shoulder. A little taken back Hagrid stopped walking then started again. When he got to the path her hair hung wet and straight around her face. She had jumped back down and mascara lined her cheeks from rain and tears. Her stockings had never left her hands but she quickly picked her heels up and looked like a woman doing the walk of shame. Hagrid entered before the pair but Snape made sure that Alice didn't try anything else. When they got through the doors Filius noticed her distressed state and held out a hand for her. "Come on. Let me help you." Alice took his hand and let him lead her to a shower where she could clean off and rid herself of the scum and mud.

"Mamma!" Bare feet crossed the field to a stagnant body that had been resting on the floor. "No, please. Mamma. I love you don't." An unconscious Minerva lay helpless on the floor. "How dare you. Bitch. She did nothing as bad as this, dare I say she did nothing bad at all. She was just-just helping us." Alice found her voice becoming lost to grief. "I do not care how far you have stuck your head up Fudges arse to get this job and to do all the disgusting acts that you have. You aren't worth the ground your overly large feet land on. She is a woman. A woman who only knows love and consideration. You are a fat beast who only wants power and authority. I don't know what crawled into you and died but it stinks." A tut then another sounded through the field "you will not speak to me in that way. I am in charge here and you will do as you are told. Now run along the healers will be here soon, your precious Mamma will be taken care of. From now until the end of term you shall serve a detention with me during your dinner time. This time there are no twins to save you." Alice was about to retort to the pink oaf but healers had arrived so she watched as careful hands cared for her until they left. Poppy had arrived outside with the healers and kept the small girl in a tight embrace but Alice just stood and watched as their figures disappeared. "Maw, promise not to leave me too." Poppy nodded rapidly and reassured her of only keeping people healthy.

Grass danced up the pale legs until grass grew no more. As usual she had crept away after a detention with Umbridge. Blood was falling down her hand but she just whipped it down her school robes. The Thestrals proudly welcomed her but running feet quickly approached her. "Alice. Come with us. We need to go." She stood thoroughly shocked as her frame was pulled onto one of the creatures so that she sat behind Luna. The wind flew with anger against them as they propelled forward. The blood stopped dripping eventually as they made it to the ministry. The rooms twisted and twirled around them but Alice found no way to focus on their actions as she just let them drag her. The memories that swam around her made the place into a maze as row after row the same thing could be seen of the prophecies. The others spoke but Alice just walked slowly behind in attempts to stay hidden. Alice felt like crumbling when a hand grabbed her and twisted her around. "Friend or foe?" Asked a serious tone and she just stared wide eyed but not in fear just disappointment. "Lucius. I haven't seen you since Voldemort returned." Her quick retort resulted in "silencio. Crucio." Her mouth made no attempt to open as her body slumped to the floor in agony. A thousand knives felt like they were being plunged into her body over and over. The voice that spoke was not Lucius though as she spoke with insanity dug deep into her voice. "Bella stop." He quietly commanded and pushed Alice into an area between two rows. Her body ached and she wanted so badly to let the sensation of death to take her. She willed the feeling to just do as it wanted but strong arms pulled her up. Neville. No words could pass between them as the space around them began falling and collapsing. "Come on." Her body was limp as her muscles still were unable to fully work but Alice mentally pulled it all together. They had entered a room that she remembered, the room that Harry had heard voices in. Death eaters began their attack on the children but Alice couldn't focus. "Alice." Remus shot through the room as a killing curse came her way. Her wand had been knocked out of her hand moments before. Remus didn't have a chance to save her though as her hands lifted and she defended herself. Wide eyed the death eaters targeted her with stunning spells but every time her hands kept her safe. They seemed to get bored though as soon the others were subject to spells again. The deranged brunette from before had cast "avada kedavra" his smile never left his face as he, Sirius, stepped through the veil. Strong arms kept Harry back from advancing forward. The werewolf himself looked to be dead and gone inside but his brave front came up to keep Harry safe. He was a Gryffindor for a reason.

"Alice. Are you alright?" Albus was curious and on edge as he saw his daughter with dried blood on her hand and glasses. "Yeah, Dolores did that." Fudge was stood relatively close and questioned her about how. "She has a quill that uses your blood rather than ink." He was angered but didn't appear to want to do anything about it. "Can we just see Mamma?" Dumbledore nodded as the pair left for St Mungo's. "She is doing much better I am led to believe." His calm voice showed nothing of what occurred in his head. "Did you stay at uncle's tea shop?" He nodded and his beard extended further down his front as he did so.

"Mamma how are you?" A few of the other visitors turned to see the girl who had been sat silently next to her professor for a long while. "Getting better. I will be out soon." Alice placed her head on the woman's chest and listened to her heartbeat. "Faster than normal." She mumbled to no one in particular. "When I get out this will all be back to normal." Minerva ached for the girl to never leave but her tiredness was still standing strong. "I will leave you to sleep. Bye Mamma. Love you." As the Dumbledore pair left Minerva replied "love you too." Alice could leave with a partial smile on her glum face.
