"I need to go Ali." Minerva glanced a last time at the letter then burnt it in an instant. "Can I come too?" Normally Alice would keep her head down but curiosity claimed her. "No. Your father will never allow you in." Feeling brave and also bored the small witch pushed "I will wait outside." A low long huff confirmed that she had won. "Thank you." Alice gripped onto the offered arm and stayed clung on until she felt the familiar tugging at her body. "You will not enter the kitchen." Alice nodded and watched as her surroundings shook and a house emerged from seemingly nothing. The pair walked to the door and Minerva had picked up her dress as she took the raised platforms. Sturdy knocks on the door resonated through Alice as she waited for the door to open. "Minerva." A tired and cheeky voice asked as he opened the door. "Mr Black." Her greeting was formal and clearly she was used to dealing with his antics. Minerva felt a light and clearly accidental pull on the fabric of her cloak when the name left her mouth. "Ali big girl. He is fine, safe even. Mr Black was innocent." She spoke to comfort but when she turned to face the girl who still hadn't moved a wave of nostalgia flooded Minerva as a small pale thumb was lost in the pale lips of Alice. Her silver hair hung and she couldn't help but imagine the three year old version of the girl before her. "There is no need to be nervous." The voice was clearly making the girl out to be a baby and so her body bestowed her with faux confidence. "Thank you Mamma." Small strides allowed her to pass and great the rough man before them. "Alice. Nice to meet you Mr Black." Her greeting was as formal as imaginable as she held out her hand to shake. The other one behind her back as she didn't wish to wipe saliva anywhere. "Please, call me Sirius." He winked as he kissed the back of her hand. "Now, dare I ask why Minerva has brought you here?" He raised only a brow as he asked this though a flirtatious look resided in his eyes. "I asked her to. We were sat together when she was asked to come here. I was at Hogwarts." His hand still kept hers company and her frozen fingers welcomed the gesture. "I thought that students were not allowed to remain during summer." This time she arched a perfect brow and smirked "they do when your parent works there." Her voice was a seductive whisper but her hand left his as she ran across to George and she landed her lips on his. The pair had been kissing for a while but they didn't let it get serious with the others watching but of course they were interrupted "Mr Weasley. Dare I remind you to keep your hands off of her?" The pair pulled apart and just ran up the stairs hand in hand. "Kids." An amused voice spoke before the two adults entered the kitchen and shut the door.

"So dad has been leaving me all summer on and off for the Order of some Phoenix." Her legs carried her in a pacing motion as she thought about everything that her friends had just told her. "Yes." Ron confirmed with a hint of tiredness. Alice placed herself on the lap of George so that she was straddling his legs and placed her head against his chest. "Voldemort could go suck some snake penis." Her improper language sent laughter through the whole room and Alice felt her body being bounced crazily. "Stop. I want to sleep." Her eyelids slipped over eyes as not only was her sight gone but also her mind. "Alice, George." A mischievous voice spoke which caused the pair to stir. A strong grip kept Alice to a body in front of her that she had buried her head into. Her eyes met his face and she kissed his chin then lips before leaving the bed. "Night Georgie Porgie." The ginger laughed at the nickname and responded sleepily "night baby girl." He jumped a little when her presence arrived behind him "I do not mind that name. Nor did I mind sharing this bed." Her lips passed across his ear but stopped as she left the room behind a man who seemed to be up to nothing that was good or sane ever.

"There you are Alice dear. Let us go." Minerva beckoned her over as she wrapped a coat that looked suspiciously like the one Minerva was no longer wearing. "Where is dad?" A huff meant that the mentioned man was getting on her nerves. "He is still discussing things. If you wish we may remain. I just figured that you would want to get some sleep." Before any words could be made in reply Sirius jumped in making Alice bite her lip to take out her nervous feelings. "Well you see. George and her were asleep when I went up there. Cuddled up in one another's arms." Blue eyes showed a little fear but also anger. "We did nothing. I fell asleep and he just laid down with me." The glare lessened in intensity but still remained. "You may leave now Sirius." Alice found her voice sounding sharp and disgusted. "Oh no. I am still yet to find out who your parent is." These words made Alice clasp Minerva's forearm and allow herself to be brought into the kitchen. "Alice dear how are you?" Molly's voice was cheerful but it showed her over worked state. "Fine thank you Molly." She bowed her head to the woman then the rest of the room. "Alice. I see Minerva brought you." Albus spoke the words with no emotion but gentle pleasure. "She told me I wasn't allowed to disturb. I obviously didn't and I even somehow distracted them as they explained all that they knew." Blue eyes sparkled around the room and rested on Sirius who was still none the wiser as to her parent's identity. "Well, it was lovely to see you all. I am hoping that I shall see you all again." Her shining blue eyes left Sirius as she took in a slightly ashamed man who kept his gaze to the floor. Her hands instantly removed the coat that Minerva gave her to wear as she carefully placed it on the table. Next she lifted the flimsy top that had been covering her core. Gasps made their way into the room as the adults had all been told that she had healed fully. Minerva covered her mouth as the scratches that covered her core were visible just as the truth of the girl not liking the look of the marks. In truth the scars that would never fade made her want to cry but she looked at the scratches and bite marks that were now her and smiled a weak smile with watery eyes. "Remus." His frail eyes shot up to her and then her stomach. "I am so sorry." He kept muttering it as guilt consumed him and Sirius placed a hand on the tattered shoulder of the suit that her old professor wore. "I don't care. You didn't mean to do it and best of all, no one died." The look in his eyes was heart shattering and it took too much strength not to just cover it all up. "You are so young and skin so innocent." Alice just shrugged and let the material cover over the marks again. "Scars just make us remember our past in the future. Scars are an untold story that has so much potential." A stray tear fell and her heart began to thud against her ribs as she placed the cloak back on to keep her warm. "Dad. Can us three go now?" The two women began to leave but he knew that business had to be attended to. "Sorry, I have some other business." Desire to return with the pair stirred but in the long term it was for the good. "You are the daughter of Albus?" Sirius watched unbelieving. Pale white fingers wrapped around each button until Alice was locked in firmly. Her eyes let more tears fall but didn't let anyone see as her hair played the part of a curtain. "Can we go now Mamma?" The pain was heard in her voice as Albus listened intently and wished to just let the girl have a normal life. No pains, scars and most of all the ability to have a real mother. Although the female staff members were loving and supportive nothing ever beat a real mother, the loving hold that a mother could give but Minerva and Poppy had always given her that. He wished that he could be a father that supported her with a more hands on approach but he was needed else where. He knew that she was treated like a princess in many ways but in too many other ways she had been forced to endure the harsh reality of life.

"Mamma." Her voice saw barely above a whisper "promise me, promise me that we will all be fine. That no one else has to die. That you and daddy will never leave me. That Maw will stay with me too." The office that they dwelt in was larger than an average but the pair sat close to one another still. "You know that I can make no such promise. I can however promise that I love you." Alice blinked back tears as she began "if-if dad doesn't make it. Will you and Poppy care for me?" Minerva placed her hand on top of the smaller one and nodded once but didn't like to think that Albus would...

The pink beast only made everyone's lives better. Alice was sat in her common room staring at the wall when a letter dropped to her bed. Sure enough she was asked to attend the teaching lounge. Her slippers kept her quiet but she had given up on that as she clasped the letter in her hands. Her shorts were as short as ever whilst her top was long and covering. This she was grateful for as the staff room was freezing. "May I ask why you are allowed here?" The pink toad sat glaring at the child. "Oh, I am Miss Dumbledore. Father likes to see me the night before classes begin." The pink blob was too much to handle and so Alice hugged the desired professors before heading to bed. "Do you usually do that?" There her voice was again. "Yes. I hug the professors that have brought me up." Dolores spoke with her usual high tone "that isn't very professional dear." It was obvious that Alice had been told off and before Minerva could risk her job Alice calmly spoke "indeed. I apologise and promise that I shall not do it again. No physical contact shall be made between me and my professors from now on. Even father during the school time." Alice was obviously lying but hoped that the curse on the defence position would have her gone in the year.
