"Guys, seriously. This is absurd." I whine as Chae zips my dress up the next evening.

"You really thought you were going to get away with celebrating your birthday without the boys?" Jee questions with a chuckle. I groan, slumping once Chae's gotten in. Sitting down on their bed, I slip on the heels that go with it.

"I was hoping to get out of it altogether." I mutter with a frown. They both just smile at me and shake their heads.

"I'd have thought you'd have known us better by now." Chae teases as we walk out of their room.

"Oh, trust me, I do. I knew I wouldn't get out of you girls celebrating it. But one can always dream." I say with a small smile, shaking my head as we head over to the living room. When we get there, everyone else is already there and waiting. Including Jingsah.

"Oh my... Minnie, you look beautiful." Jungkookie says softly with wide eyes, a small smile on his lips when he sees me. I blush a bit, ducking my head.

"Minsae, are you sure you want to go out like that? You could easily break something by trying to walk in those heels. You're not going to feel like you're revealing too much skin in or feel underdressed in that dress, are you?" Jingsah speaks up with a fake worried look on her face.

My mouth falls slightly agape at the things she claims. Closing my lips, I look down at myself even more self conscious than I was before.

I'm in nude colored strap heels that are somewhere around two and a half inches high, my dress being a simple black dress that's right at my chest and stomach before turning loose and flowing on the lower part though without being too bad that I'd have to really worry about anything. It stops around mid thigh area on me. Though to dress it up a bit, I'd paired it with gold tiny chain dangle earrings, a silver and gold necklace, and silver bracelet.

"Umm..." I trail softly, no longer certain of myself.

"Are you sure you want to be wearing a dress that tight on your waist and upper body though, Minsae? I know how insecure you can get about that area and it's definitely quite tight and showing in that area. Are you going to be able to stand the jewelry too though? I mean it looks a little awkward with the dress and shoes, and they just seem a bit big for everything, for your short stature and all." She continues on with pointing out more and more.

"Jingsah, stop it. Minnie, you look beautiful and perfect just as you are right now. There's absolutely nothing wrong with anything about you or what you're wearing. You look stunning." Jungkook speaks up, stopping her rant as he stands in front of me and pulling my chin up so that I'm forced to stop looking at myself. I can't help the worried and much less confident look that's now on my face as I look up at him, trying to hold back tears just so that I don't ruin my makeup.

"Minnie, you look beautiful. Don't listen to her. I promise." He whispers softly, tucking a piece of fallen hair back behind my ear.

"Come on. Let's go, we're going to be late for our reservation." Hoseok says in a bored tone as he stands up, taking Mina's hand as she stands with him. Sighing with a new lack of self confidence, we all follow suit and head out to the vans that are waiting for us.

The drive there is quiet, the others talking amongst themselves as they pretty much ignore Jungkook and I. I don't mind too much though. I don't enjoy being the center of attention, unless that attention is Kookie's. Then I'm okay with it.

Similarly, the first small part of dinner goes well too. I'm pretty much ignored the entire time other than Yoongi keeping a smirking eye on us, Jungkook pretty much being the only one to converse with me at the table. Thankfully, it appears that Yoongi is a trustworthy person as he's not even made the slightest hint or suggestion of us being together again.
