When Spencer Cavanaugh woke up on the 23rd of October 2018 she was confused. She felt like she was desperately trying to remember something but had absolutely no idea what it was.
She was in unfamiliar surroundings and it was like her brain needed a second before it was going to tell her anything useful.
Then it hit her. She was in an Italian hotel room, she was no longer a Hastings and the very strong arms wrapped around her naked middle were her husband's.
Wow. Husband. That was going to take some getting used to.
Spencer couldn't stop the wide grin that spread across her face as she gently shuffled back, snuggling more into the gorgeous man behind her.
She and Toby eloped yesterday. And now they were in Italy on their honeymoon and they had not told a soul.
Oh shit. She thought to herself. The girls were going to KILL her. Yes, they were also going to be insanely happy for her but still, they were going to kill her. Especially Hannah who, despite now having a child, loved any excuse to dress up and get drunk, especially if it was at two of her best friends wedding.
Spencer was so deep in her thoughts she didn't notice that Toby's heavy breathing had evened out and he had woken up until he flipped her over so she was straddling him sitting up.
She let out a yelp and then giggled as Toby, now also sitting up, buried his face in her chest.
"Jesus, Tobias! Are you trying to give me a heart attack on our very first full day of marital bliss?"
"Oh God." mumbled Toby, his speech muffled by Spencer's chest. "It's only I don't know what time in the morning and you're full naming me." he said, pulling his head up and smiling sweetly at the love of his life.
"Hmm..." hummed Spencer. "We might be married now but I still have to show you who's boss." she whispered to him.
"You weren't the boss last night." Toby smirked, gently slapping Spencer's naked butt.
Spencer lightly squealed and pushed Toby down, lying on top of him.
"Married. We're married." she whispered to herself in disbelief.
"Yeah." Toby replied. "We are." he said, picking up her hand and kissing the two rings on her wedding finger.
"Imagine telling our 16 year old selves that in 6 years we would be married." Spencer said dreamily.
Toby snorted. "You hated me when you were 16."
"Yeah, because I thought you murdered my best friend." said Spencer, as if it was obvious.
"You ever think about the fact we are going to have to explain our absolutely insane high school experiences to our kids one day." Toby asked, stroking the top of Spencer's long brown hair.
"Woah, hold your horses Cavanaugh, we've only been married for less than 24 hours! I don't want a baby just yet." Spencer exclaimed light-heartedly. Toby chuckled.
"But yeah, that's going to be one long, intense conversation. Maybe we should wait until all the girls have their babies and then we can sit them all down. It'll be like group therapy." Spencer said jokingly.
"No kidding." Toby said dryly. "They'll need group therapy after hearing all that. Sometimes I swear your life could've been a teen drama." He finished, dropping a kiss onto her head.
"Teen drama with a very happy ending." Spencer reasoned, putting her arms around Toby's neck and snuggling into him further.
"But speaking of telling people things they may not love hearing, when should we tell the girls and our families about this?" asked Spencer, moving so she was sitting up again, picking up Toby's hand and running her finger over his shiny gold wedding band.
