Twenty-One: Morning cuddles and old 'friends'

MADISON'S POV

So, I woke up to the boys cooing all around me. Why? Because I was snuggled up to Luke. They were taking pictures. I groan, waking up and not being able t move as Luke hold me close to him, the warmth of his body surrounding me. You can ear his small snores and he's like a little kitten if we're being honest. I poke him in the nose until he wakes up and realizes he's holding me, and awkwardly let's go.

"Time to get ready to enroll you in school. " I jump up, rushing to get upstairs and failing miserably and being carried by Michael this time. I thank him and rush to my closet, picking out a pair of jean shorts that reach mid thigh with lace on the bottom. Grabbing a flowy tank top that says 'wild and free' surrounded by daisies and just straightening my hair for the day. I apply my normal makeup slip on my black vans going to the top of the stairs. It's a bit easier to walk but looking down these stairs, I gulp.

There's at least 20-30 steps because the ceilings here are high. But, can I make it down? I attempt to take one step and then I stop, an idea getting to me. I sit on the stair and slide down, simple as that and before I know it I'm sliding down straight for the bottom. I can't stop my uncontrollable laughter as I reach the bottom and four heads peek around the corner to see what happened.

"Why are you sitting on the floor laughing? And how did you get downstairs?" Ashton asks, helping me to my feet as I collect myself, and remember to breathe.

"I slid down because I didn't want to yell to one of you, or actually break a bone." I explain and they raise their eyebrows before walking away. I rush to the kitchen and grab an apple and just eat that, finishing just as its time to leave.

Calum helps me to the car again and I insist I can walk a bit but he doesn't let me. I end up sitting on the edge this time right next to Calum as Luke climbs in the front. We drive in silence two a school that's only about five minutes away and the school is huge. I climb out refusing to be carried and walk up to it. This is a really nice high school.

We walk in and I follow the boys to the office, because I probably would've walked right passed it. We come in contact with someone who I assume is the principal and he shakes hands with the boys before leading us to his office.

"So I understand you want to enroll Madison here, as a freshman, correct?" he says before looking up at us with a big smile on his face and the boys nod, telling him to continue. "Well she was schooled at the orphanage correct?" I nod. "Date of Birth?" he questions and looks to the boys. They don't even know it that's right. He also hands me a phone, calling the orphanage.

"July 9th 2001" I speak up and the boys look to me with questioning eyes. "Ms.Crome? It's Madison." I say into the phone,. I hate talking on the phone, let alone with people in the room.

"What do you need Madison? Are you coming back?" she sighs and I shake my head even though she can't see me. "No Ms.Crome. I need the code to access orphanage grades so I can enroll in school." I explain and she moves around, searching through papers before the sound stops.

"It's 719nv8Yss" she says before hanging up. I sigh, telling the principal the code and he types it in examining my grades. The principal seems fairly nice, so I can only hope the teachers are like that. We sit in silence as I examine his office. It's quite bland, besides the few awards on his wall.

"Well just a few more things and you can start school next week." he starts explaining the schedule, and even give me my copy. Everyone else has to wait until the first day for theirs, but since I'm new. He even gives me a tour of the main parts of the school which will help me find everything else. We thank him before heading out to the car. I managed to walk this whole time, even if I was a bit slow.
