Riley went to an after party with Brock and Dan and Taylia tagged along. I got another text message. It was from my mom. 'Hope you're having fun! We're staying at George's until tomorrow. He wanted Carlie and I to meet his mom and we're going to stay.' Monroe saw the message. "Want to go over to your house?" I nodded. When we got there, I opened the door. It was dead silent. He lead me to my bedroom. I really didn't want anything to happen, but I didn't want to disappoint him. We got to my room and he kissed me. I tasted the maple syrup in his mouth. It was sweet. We kept kissing. He ran his hand down my back. I heard a noise. We stopped. "Did you hear that?" I nodded. "It was probably nothing." He grabbed my hands. "Sadie, I really like you. I think I love you." We were looking into each other's eyes. "I." I tried to speak, but I began to cry. I heard rustling and I felt a hand on my back. Monroe was rubbing my back. "It's okay. I know you tried." I sat up and wiped my eyes. I heard another noise. I grabbed my white board. 'I'm going to check that noise out.' "No, I'll go." 'No, it's my house. I can check it.' "Fine, I'll be here." I walked down the stairs. I used my phone as a flashlight so I could see. I didn't see anything. Our back door was open. I guess we just heard the wind. I closed the door. I turned around to go back upstairs when I was grabbed from behind. I dropped my phone and I tried to shake off the person holding onto me. While attempting to escape, I broke a glass that landed on my foot. The person grabbing me shoved me in a closet. I heard Monroe come down the stairs. "Sadie, are you okay? Wait, you don't talk." I saw the lights go on. "Sadie, oh my God, Sadie! Where the hell are you?" My foot throbbed. I heard him step outside. "Sadie? Are you out there?" I heard his footsteps come near the closet. A hand clamped over my mouth. I couldn't breathe. "Sadie! Where the fuck are-."
I wake up in the back of a car. I try to move, but my whole body felt slow. It was as if I was frozen. "Look who's awake. I had to get you back sooner or later. I guess I picked the wrong time, but I heard you try to talk and I realized that you would figure out who I was and turn me in." I felt the car stop. He turned around. I saw brown hair and green eyes. It was Ian Michael. "I'm sure you don't recognize me now. Hold on." He poured water in his hair and put a finger in his eye. He turned around again. "Sadie, it was me the whole time. Your favorite person is here. How could anyone forget about Ren Nherdu?" I felt a tear come to my eye.
"I bet you're wondering how I found you. Well, I actually found you by coincidence. I got held back a year and when my mom found out, we switched schools. I sprayed my hair and donned a green contact. I would crave you night and day. When I heard you transferred here, I knew I needed to satisfy my need. I decided to befriend your friends. I left prom early to set it all up. I purposely took out the girl with an early curfew. I set the whole thing up. You just met the right people and played along. Monroe, technically my half brother, almost died. He deserved it after he killed my father! I had a father too, and that bastard took him away from me. Well, since I couldn't take his life, I'll take his love and my love at the same time." He picked me up. It was beginning to become light out. He took me through an alleyway and into a building. He plopped me on the ground. "This is my shitty apartment. My mom is never home. She works all hours of the day and sleeps in her car. Embarrassed by her son I guess." I still could barely move. He sensed it. "Damn, that drug was sweet. Three hours and still no resistance. I felt his hands on me. They were rough and dry. He kissed me. I resisted. "I spoke too soon." I heard metal hit the ground with a clink. "I'm glad you didn't tell anyone. You would have missed your reward." I began to sob. "You know, I realized that the last time I had you, you were wearing a dark blue dress too." He slid his rough hands up my body. I shuddered. He made me remove the dress. Then he raped me. I cried, but he laughed harder. When he finished, I felt a pinch at my stomach. It spread across my middle. I realized that he was slicing me open again. "One cut for every day you're here. I hope you're here for a while Sadie."
