Chapter 48 - Liz's POV
I looked around but all I saw was white. What the hell? Where am I?
"Hello? Is anyone there?" I yelled out.
"Hello, Izzy." A familiar voice said. I turned around to see Abby standing there in a long, elegant white gown with golden flats. Her skin was flawless and her teeth were perfectly white. To be honest, she looked like an ancient Greek God.
"Abby? What are you doing here?" I questioned.
"It's time you know the truth." She sighed, smiling softly.

Alpha Hunter's POV (yay or nay?)
I barged into the waiting room at a hospital near the school Elizabeth attends, Forest High.
"Where is she?!?" I bellowed, followed by my worried wife/mate and my outraged son. I was beyond furious when Michael told me about the E.C. attack on my daughter. I had destroyed my entire office, which was the room I'd been in at the time. "I need answers, Michael!" I yelled impatiently.
"She is in critical condition. The surgery went well and they stitched up everything the E.C.'s had managed to pierce open. Her healing process has kicked in nicely, her bruises and scraps are almost fully healed on the outside. But on the inside, it seems it's going to take a miracle." He chocked out, his eyes watering. "The, um, Doctor said they don't know how she even survived the operation last night. They gave her a time span of three weeks before they pull the plug on her. She's in room A503."
Mark whizzed past me and up to his sister's room, while his mother and I weren't far behind him.
I walked into the room and saw her Beta, Nick sitting on one side of her bed while Mark was on the other. Both were holding her hand and both had red rimmed eyes. They'd been crying. The way I saw it, crying was not a weakness, it was a strength. It showed you were strong enough to show emotions. And emotions were heavy burdens to carry.
Carrey hugged my waist and sobbed into my shirt. I held her tightly while soothing her with comforting words.
"She's going to be alright, Love." I whispered. "Just wait and see."

Liz's POV
"So you're telling me that you are the Moon Goddess that made that prophecy about me?"
"Yes." She confirmed.
"If you are the Moon Goddess, then why would you pretend to be my best friend, Abby?" I questioned.
"I never pretended to be your friend, young one. I am your friend, Izzy. My real name is υπηρέτρια, which is Greek for Abigail. And don't you remember? 'The Moon Goddess will always be by her side, as a guider, as a friend, as an adviser'." She quoted from my prophecy/legend.
"Right."
"Go on. Ask me." She urged.
"How did you know- Oh, never mind." I sighed. Why even bother? I took a deep breath before asking the question I feared most. "Am I dying?"
Abby looked down at me sorrowfully. "You could be, if that's what you choose. It's not your time to leave this world yet, but I'm giving you a way out now. You can either die, right here and now or you can fight to live. It may take awhile, but you will wake up eventually. You'll have to fight hard, but as you're fighting, think of everything that you miss, and it will be that much easier."
I nodded in understanding. "I want to live." I stared up at her.
She smiled fondly. "Good luck, my friend. It was nice talking to you again."
