Another day had ended, and a new one began.

Amanda had come to the conclusion that Red and Caitlyn had broken up after Red asking for her phone number and the conversation they had afterward.

Since the situation was now over, she didn't have to worry about Cupid anymore. Caitlyn could easily find another man and Red will find the one to call his own eventually.

Amanda could live her average life, she'll forget about the situation as long as Red or Caitlyn doesn't bring it up.

Amanda got to relax that weekend since she did her part in the English project and completed any homework she had on Friday.

The moment school ended on that Friday though; Red immediately called Amanda saying that he was bored and needed to speak to someone who wasn't a guy.

Surprisingly, Red had actually distracted Amanda from her thoughts on homework. Amanda never got distracted, not from anyone.

Amanda took notice of that when she realized that an hour went by with them still on the phone.

The weekend had ended and it was back to school. The weekend went very quickly due to Red continually calling Amanda for an hour-long conversation.

Amanda told herself not to tell Ebony about his calls unless she asked, which was likely since she already knows about the two exchanging numbers.

Amanda made her way into the school, Ebony already waiting for her at the front.

Amanda expected to be bombarded with questions about her weekend.

"Hey Ebony."

"...Hey..."

But instead, Ebony had something else to think about rather than ship names.

"Uh, Ebony? Is everything okay? What's wrong?"

"Oh! Nothing too serious I guess. Did something happen while I was gone last Thursday?"

Amanda was confused about Ebony's question, "Huh? Nothing happened that I'm aware of."

"I thought so. Apparently, people are talking about a 'Cupid', but I don't know what that is. Usually, I always know what's going on when I'm here. Like I know Caitlyn and Red..."

Ebony trailed off once she saw Amanda's shocked expression, "Do you know what a 'Cupid' is?"

Amanda knew she couldn't hide anything from her because of Ebony's constant nudging.

Amanda then heard the people whisper, all talking about Cupid, which frightened her to no end.

Amanda then grabbed Ebony's collar and gently tugged her down so she could whisper in her ear, "I'll tell you about her after school, not in front of everyone or a chance someone could be listening..."

Ebony whispered back, "I have to wait? Fine. But it better be worth it..."

Red had gotten his AP Gov journal out of his locker and decided to get to class early so he could get a head start on the warm-up.

During his walk to the classroom, all the students in the hallway had looked at him and started whispering.

Red didn't pay any attention to the students; he was focusing on making his way to class.

Even though he wasn't paying attention, there was one whisper that Red had heard, "Cupid must be out of their mind!"

Red immediately stopped and continued to listen.

"But they must be brilliant if they convinced RED to break up with CAITLYN."
