Being alone in the hallway, Amanda couldn't stop thinking about Caitlyn's true feelings about Red.
'If Caitlyn truly didn't love him, then why didn't she break up with him? Is she only dating him to raise her reputation? He is pretty popular I guess...'
Amanda thought that Red deserves to be happy after everything he's done not just for her, but for other people as well.
She despised the thought of Caitlyn having a tight leash on Red, even though she never even loved him in the first place.
'What can I do? I want to help him break up with Caitlyn, but Caitlyn will MURDER me if she finds out I was the one to convince him in the first place. Even if Red and I try to keep it a secret, she'll still find out somehow, and she'll hate it me even more if-'
"EARTH TO AMANDA!" Ebony suddenly shouted.
Ebony's shouting had startled Amanda from her thoughts, "W-Wuh? Ebony?"
"This is the eighth time that I shouted your name..."
"Really? Sorry, I was distracted."
"By what?"
"Just a confession I heard someone say." It wasn't the full truth, but it wasn't a lie either. Amanda didn't need Ebony to do any more nudging.
"What kind of confession?" Ebony pressed on.
Amanda tried to change the subject, "We really should leave..." she knew that if Ebony keep pressing her, Ebony will get the truth out of her eventually.
"Fine."
"How did the meeting-"
"I have so much make-up work to do when I get home..." Ebony then grabbed Amanda's shoulders and shook her with every word she spoke, "So.much.work"
Amanda chuckled, "Sorry to hear, but I had expected this kind of punishment for you. That's why we should leave so you can get that work done," Amanda then patted Ebony's shoulder.
"I hate you."

Amanda was finishing up her homework when Red crossed her mind again.
Amanda wanted to help Red break up with Caitlyn, but she also wanted to encourage him never to look back.
Yes, it did sound selfish on Amanda's part, and it was. 90% of the plan was so Red could be happy, but 10% of the idea was Amanda thinking about the benefits of helping them break up.
The main problem that needed to be solved was how would she tell Red in the first place. Amanda can't just tell Red to break up with Caitlyn. Caitlyn would find out eventually, and even if both Ebony and Red teamed up to protect Amanda, Caitlyn would still find a way to make her life miserable.
Amanda can't do this by herself; she needed help.
Her parents and Ebony are automatically out. Amanda wasn't going to tell her parents that she was helping a boy break up with a girl. Ebony needs to focus on her schoolwork right now if she wants to pass, so Amanda isn't going to get Ebony involved.
After putting all her homework in her bag and working a little bit on the English project, Amanda looked through her contacts on her phone to see if anyone could help. If no one could help, she would try the Internet instead.
After scrolling a few seconds, she finally got to the contacts that began with the letter M, in which the name "Maria" was the first name on the list.
'Maria! She'll know what to do!'
Calling her number, Maria picked up after three rings, "My baby! How are you?"
