'Stupid, stupid, stupid!' Red angrily thought.

He couldn't believe what he was doing. Why did Cupid even cross his mind in the first place?

He can't turn back now that he sealed the deal. If he did, Irvin would embarrass him in front of everyone!

The two men had been friends for years, so Red was positive that Irvin had something to use against him.

Making his way to Cupid's Box, Red was regretting each step he took.

He grabbed the small piece of paper next to the box and drafted what he was going to say in his head. Once he decided on what to state, he wrote it down.

Red put his pencil in his pocket and stood in front of the container. He took a deep breath and put the note in the slit of the box.

"I'm on thin ice..." Red whispered.

"Okay, okay! How about this one smarty? What starts with a 't,' ends with a 't,' and has 'tea' in it?" Ebony inquired.

"Teapot," Amanda said with no hesitation.

"ARRRGH!!" Ebony fussed.

Amanda laughed at Ebony's rage. Ebony was attempting to find any riddle or puzzle that would stump her; so far, no luck.

Amanda opened her locker and took her book bag out, "Don't worry, you'll get me, eventually."

Ebony folded her arms and grumbled, "Liar."

Amanda saw in the corner of her eye the boy she met earlier that day. She knew that he was Elliot since he caught her working to put the note in his locker.

Amanda turned to Ebony and whispered, "I met one of my clients at his locker today. He's presumably on his way to talk to me right now. Can you get any letters to Cupid for me today?"

Ebony nodded, "Sure thing." Ebony then grabbed her things and walked to the library.

Amanda turned towards Elliot, who moved closer to her location. Elliot was inspecting the locker numbers trying to find 2904.

Amanda cleared her throat to obtain Elliot's attention. Elliot recognized her right away and made his way over.

"Hey," Elliot waved.

Amanda waved back and continued to put her books in her bag. "What do you want to know?" she whispered.

"How did you meet Cupid?" Elliot whispered.

"Technically, I didn't. Cupid knew about me and delivered a note asking if I wanted to help her with her business. I agreed since I wasn't into any of the school's after-school activities, so I thought it could be fun," Amanda responded.

"Well, is it?"

Amanda smiled, "Kinda. All I do is send the letters. But it's entertaining to see the aftermath of delivering them. Cupid gets excited for every letter she gets and answers. Sometimes, Cupid tells me by a note about what happens with her clients to help me feel involved."

Amanda turned to Elliot, "So you and Lilith?"

Elliot flushed and nodded.

"Don't worry; it's just me and Cupid who knows. I won't tell anybody. Where is Lilith?"

Elliot sighed, "Out of state."

"Emergency?"

Elliot nodded, "I miss her so much, and she's only gone from school for a day!"
