Amanda was leaving her Architecture class with Ebony and was on her way to the cafeteria.
Amanda has been beating herself up with the note she gave Red yesterday. She hasn't seen him in the hallways or has heard any news about Caitlyn.
Amanda was thankful for using a fake identity instead of her real name; otherwise, she would beg her parents about not going to school.
The girls were walking in silence because Amanda was thinking, so Ebony spoke up, "Whatcha think 'bout Amy?"
"Just thinking about how you got away with skipping school yesterday."
"Shush Amy! You'll blow my cover!"
The girls decided to make small talk on their way to lunch, but Ebony quickly stopped talking when she saw Red exit the cafeteria doors.
"Ebony? What's wrong?"
Ebony quickly pointed, "Hot guy! 12 o'clock!"
"Ebony please, we're in public..."
"RED IS ALSO IN THE VICINITY!"
Amanda was more startled at Red's presence rather than Ebony's shouting. That said person was walking towards the two girls.
"Heya Ebony. Hi Amanda! So, can I have that phone number now?"
When the two girls didn't move, Red spoke again, "Um, Amanda? Number, please?"
Amanda quickly caught on, "W-wait, me? Not Ebony?"
"Yes, you Mandy! But if you want me to get Ebony's number, I can-"
Ebony quickly interrupted, "You're good! A boy has to do more than ask for MY number. And besides, I see sparks!" Ebony nudged Amanda and ran into the cafeteria
"I'm so sorry Red, she has 'high standards'..."
Red chuckled, "I can see that, but do I have to do more than ask for your number to get it?"
"No, not really."
The two exchanged numbers, and Red couldn't hold back a smile.
Amanda, on the other hand, was confused, "I thought Caitlyn wouldn't allow you to have other girls numbers."
"She wouldn't! But it's my phone. I can do whatever I want with it."
"I'm not complaining. Well, I should go before Ebony starts writing fanfictions of us."
Red laughed loudly, "I wouldn't mind actually. Gotta go!"
Red then ran off. Amanda started to walk to the cafeteria but stopped at the door.
'Wait. What did he-?'

Red had to get out of the cafeteria. He needed time to himself.
After receiving the note from Cupid, Red couldn't help but take this as a sign, so that afternoon yesterday when school let out, he found Caitlyn and took her into an isolated hallway.
Caitlyn thought Red wanted to make out with her before he left, but she was wrong.
Red knew that Caitlyn couldn't get it in her head that they were breaking up, so he decided to be straightforward with it, not even softening the blow for her.
After stating his true feelings about Caitlyn, she had unintentionally told Red her true feelings too, how it was completely fabricated.
That was enough to make Red leave her behind in the hallway, and he was positive that she didn't shed any tears.
