~Heads up, I painted a good amount of gay on my canvas for this chapter~
Ebony was quietly singing to herself as she made her way down the school halls. The red-haired girl was in the middle of delivering Cupid's note for Amanda since her teacher was still on leave.
Ebony stopped singing once she found locker #2379. She looked around the hall before slipping Cupid's note into the slit.
Ebony then walked away from the locker, plugged in her headphones, and began her search for Amanda. Once she selected her playlist, she bumped into someone.
Ebony took her earbud out and began to apologize. "Crud, sorry. I wasn't paying attention."
The boy she bumped into scratched his neck sheepishly, "Ah! No worries..."
Ebony nodded and continued her trek down the hall. As she was about to turn the corner, she saw the boy she crashed into opening his locker and picking up the lilac paper.
Ebony swiftly made her way out of the hall once she realized that she came into contact with one of Cupid's clients. She tried to recall every detail that the boy had after she remembered Amanda mentioning that her patient was an anonymous writer.
'I'll save that information for later...'

Evan thought that he was flying headfirst into a panic attack.
The cause? The lilac paper in his locker that had Cupid's signature on the back.
Evan gave up any hope of Cupid responding to him on his walk to school that morning with Catherine, so when he realized that Cupid had written back, he was unprepared.
Evan took deep breaths and began to read the letter:
"My Dearest Client,
Your words were enough to tell me how afraid and wounded your heart was when you wrote to me. Your words were also enough to hurt my heart as I was reading.
I understand why you are distressed, so here's what you have to do. I could tell that you are not confident if your lover will accept you regardless of the way you love, so you will need to find out yourself if they will.
Platonically bond with your lover before you intend to show any romantic gestures. By bonding, you will understand what type of person your lover is. This understanding is what will tell your heart and mind if they will return your feelings. Do not be too confident that your lover will respond positively until the very end to ensure that you receive excellent results in the end.
Do not feel ashamed to share your feelings with me, and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
I wish you the best of luck~!
-Cupid"
Evan went from scared to shocked in a matter of seconds by reading the letter. He didn't expect Cupid to be so kind and insightful in the note, so he was utterly speechless.
Evan reread the note to make sure that he fully understood what Cupid was telling him, and it all made sense to him. Spending time with Prince will let him know if their love interests were somewhat similar to one other.
'Spend time with him. Sounds simple and fun. Maybe I could help him at Drama Club? Come to his swim practices? Offer to tutor for our French class?'
Evan abruptly stopped his brainstorming once he remembered that Prince was injured a few days ago.
'Maybe I should wait until he's fully healed until I make my move.'
