"And so the security guard took him away and told me to go to class!" Ebony finished.
Amanda shuddered throughout Ebony's story of her encounter in the bathroom. "What I want to know who's behind the attack and why. That poor boy probably didn't even deserve it."
A lightbulb suddenly turned on in Ebony's head. "The wounds looked fresh, and on my way to the restroom, I saw two football players walking past the bathrooms...but I don't know if that's helpful or not."
Amanda froze. "Um...what did the boy in the bathroom look like?"
Ebony went silent trying to remember the boy's features, "Uh, I only took a few glances, but when I carried him, he looked around Red's height. Brown-ish hair I think. It looked kinda short..."
Amanda imagined the given details and quietly gasped. Ebony was still trying to put the pieces together and looked at Kat, "Maybe I should ask Kat for help."
"I know who you're talking about. That boy bumped into me earlier today, and two football players were chasing him," Amanda explained.
"So they WERE behind this! I should have done more than step on his foot!" Ebony yelled.
Amanda gently covered Ebony's mouth, "Slow down. That wouldn't solve anything. We need answers-"
"I need answers you mean," Ebony interrupted by removing Amanda's hand. "You still have a job to do yourself."
Amanda nodded, "Right...I'll go to the library-" Ebony gave her a look, "-and be more careful."
"HEY LADIES!" Kat's voice sang as she walked over."
"Katherine...inside voices please," the English teacher, Ms.Williams, glared.
"Yes mom," Kat muttered and sat down next to their table, "Sooooo, what are you two talking about?"
Amanda smiled at Kat, "A mystery boy that Ebony met-"
"From the bathrooms?" Kat interrupted.
Ebony wasn't surprised that Kat already knew about the situation, so she asked, "Do you know anything about what happened after the boy went to the nurse?"
Kat quickly answered her question, "They sent Prince home because of his injuries."
"Prince?" Amanda and Ebony asked in unison.
"Prince Alexander. That's his name. He's in my TV Production class," Kat smiled.
Ebony paused to take in the information when she suddenly gasped, "Oh! That Prince! He's in drama with me!"
Amanda stared at Ebony, "...So he's been in your class for about six months now, and you didn't recognize him when you saw him in the bathroom?"
Ebony play hit Amanda's shoulder, "In my defense, when you go to the bathroom to rest your brain and see a beaten up person slowly losing consciousness; you might not think of identification at that time."
Amanda shrugged, "Fair enough."
Ebony grinned, "I think Prince is on the swim team if I recall...once English is over, I'll find Red and hopefully get some more answers." Ebony then looked at Amanda, "You'll be fine by yourself right?" Amanda nodded.
"I'll walk you to your locker if you need someone beside you Amy, " Kat offered.
Amanda looked at Kat in confusion, but then remembered to play along, "Oh! Uh, don't worry about it. I'll be fine."
