Voltron: Keith x OC (White Lion) - Daughter of Light

The White Lion

"The red lion is temperamental, and the most difficult to master. It's more agile than the others, but also more unstable." explained Princess Allura. "Its pilot must be someone who relies more on instinct than skill alone. Keith, you will fly the red lion." 

The princess then showed the projection of a white lion with large, shiny wings.

"The final lion, the white lion, forms Voltron's shoulders and wings. It has the best sensory abilities, and the wings give it phenomenal speed. This lion chooses a pilot with experience and wisdom. The problem is, there are only five of you... The white lion is missing a paladin."

As if on cue, a voice sounded through the walls of the castle:

"Hello? Anybody there?"

"Hey, did anybody hear that?" asked Lance.

"Yeah! A voice!" responded Pidge. "Coming from the hangar!"

Coran then burst through the door, shouting: "Princess Allura, the white lion is here! It just entered through the gates!"

"What? How?" questioned the princess.

"Let's go everyone" commanded Shiro, and the five paladins ran towards the hangar.

Kanna heard footsteps headed her way, and got into a fighting stance. If this was a trap, she would have to fight her way out.

A group of people then showed up from the hallway leading away from the hangar.

Five of them were boys who looked very young and confused. Kanna thought they looked just as out of place as she did.

The other two people were a woman with long white hair and a man with a fabulous moustache.

After a few minutes of silence and lots of staring, the woman stepped forward and cleared her throat:

"Hello there, welcome to my castle. I'm princess Allura, this is Coran, and these are the paladins of Voltron."

"The what now?" Kanna asked.

"The paladins are legendary warriors who serve as pilots of Voltron, the universe's most powerful weapon." explained Coran.

Kanna looked at the five boys and raised an eyebrow. 'Legendary warriors?' she thought. 'This bunch?'

"Why did your lion bring me here?" Kanna asked.

"The white lion is a part of Voltron." said the princess. "Six paladins, piloting six lions, fight together to form the weapon which will defeat emperor Zarkon and restore peace."

"Zarkon?" Kanna frowned. "What does it have to do with me?"

"The white lion chose you as its pilot."

All of this was giving Kanna a headache. Or maybe it was all the screaming she did on her way there.

"Slow down, princess. I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm a bounty hunter. I found this lion while on a job." said Kanna, crossing her arms. "But I do know that Zarkon is bad news, so if this involves him, I'm out. My spaceship is still on the storm planet though, so I may need a ride out of here..."

"Hey don't worry, I honestly don't really understand what's going on either." said the big guy in the group, wearing a yellow bandana around his forehead. "We just got here! They haven't even offered us lunch yet."

"I know this is a lot to take in at once, but please, come inside. I will explain everything. We need your help." pleaded the princess.

"Listen, all of this sounds very heroic and I'm all about that, trust me." said Kanna, taking a step back. "But I'm not getting involved in these universe issues. Not anymore, at least. I don't know why your lion chose me, but it will have to choose someone else."
