Kanna and Commander Holt were waiting outside the interrogation room, where they watched Allura speak to one of the captured Altean pilots, Tavo, who agreed to speak to the princess about Honerva's plans.

"Tavo, I want to thank you for speaking with me." said the princess, sitting across a table from the Altean pilot.

"Forgive me, Princess Allura, but we don't have much time." said Tavo, with urgency.

"I'm sorry?"

"Please - once Honerva discovers I'm speaking with you, it will be over!"

"Slow down." said Allura. "What are you trying to-"

"Listen to me." insisted Tavo. "Now that she has Lotor, she will use him to destroy everything-"

Before the man could finish his sentence, he began to scream and squeal, grabbing his head as if he was in immense pain.

Tavo then fell from his chair, unconscious, and Allura ran to his side.

"Kanna!" screamed the princess, calling out for her friend's help.

Kanna rushed into the room and kneeled beside the Altean man. She extended her hand and placed it on Tavo's chest.

"I feel something." she frowned. "Its... dark and - cold."

The white paladin focused on using a pulse of energy from her hand to expel the dark force she was sensing inside Tavo.

After a few seconds, a crimson sphere of energy emerged from the man's chest and began to hover quickly around the room.

"We need to get out of here!" said Kanna. "Commander Holt!"

Allura helped her carry Tavo out of the room, and once they made it out, the Commander shut the door behind them.

"I have to reverse the magnetic polarity of the room." said Holt, as he tinkled with the controls of the interrogation room. "The impulse prism just might stabilize the foreign object."

Commander Holt's plan was a success, and they managed to magnetically contain the foreign energy sphere.

With the help of the ship's tech, they isolated it in a unit that used the ship's crystal to energize the optronic vacuum casing.

"This containment unit was designed to contain diseases, but it should suffice until we find a more permanent solution." said Holt, as he stood before the encased sphere alongside Allura and Kanna.

"Thank you, Sam." said the princess. "And thank you, Kanna, for saving Tavo's life."

"Allura, I need you to stay away from this thing." said Kanna. "Back in the interrogation room, I felt like it was trying to... connect with me - somehow. Its hard to explain, but it felt like something was keeping it from fully communicating with me, and I have a theory that its because I'm not Altean."

"So maybe this thing is how Honerva controls the Alteans." said Allura.

"Probably. Which means it can control you too. So keep your distance." said Kanna.

"Its best if everyone stays away from it until we can learn more." said Commander Holt. "You two should get some rest."

Holt then excited the room, and just as Kanna was about to follow him, she noticed the princess looking intensely at the encapsulated dark energy sphere.

"Allura." she called out, frowning. Kanna was extremely worried about the powers the sphere could have, and her instincts were telling her the princess should be kept far away from it.
