The next morning, Kanna woke up curled up beside Akia and Kosmo.

She got up and made her way to the pilot's seat, where she started to open up some maps so she could start planning their route out of the galaxy.

It didn't take long until Akia sleepily stumbled her way over, rubbing her eyes.

"What time is is, Kanny?" she asked.

Kanna smiled upon hearing that nickname again after five years.

"Early, gwinig. Did I wake you?"

"No, Kosmo's drooling did." Akia chuckled.

"Oh yeah, he's super drooly." Kanna smiled, thinking of Keith. "Why don't you get us some food?"

"On it!" Akia ran excitedly to the storage bin.

After Kanna, Kosmo and Akia had some breakfast, it was time to get going.

"Okay, time to head out." said Kanna. "You definitely don't want to be around here with the Syndicate looking for you."

"Yeah, I'm not too worried. I left clues and rumours around so Khax thinks I'm dead."

"He did mention assuming you were gone." Kanna smiled and ruffled the girl's hair. "Look at you, full of tricks."

"Learned from the best." Akia chuckled. "...Acxa."

"Hey!" Kanna complained, tickling the girl.

"I'm kidding." Akia's face then turned serious. "How are the generals, Kanna? Are they...?"

"For the most part, they're actually doing great.... but we lost Narti."

"What happened?" Akia frowned. Narti, Acxa and Kanna were very close when they worked under Lotor's command, so by default, Akia became close to them as well.

"Lotor happened." Kanna said, looking down.

"I'm sorry." said the girl.

"I am too." Kanna put her arm around Akia's shoulder. "But you know, Acxa is very excited to see you."

"She is?" Akia's eyes regained some of their sparkle.

"Absolutely! She's been calling every week to see if I was getting any closer to finding you."

"Are you going back then? To your Earth?"

"Well, Acxa and the other generals are with Keith trying to run the reforms of the Galra empire." explained Kanna.

"So where to next?" Akia asked, excitedly.

"I actually wanted to go to Elendaria."

"Your mom's planet? Have you been there before?"

"Yeah, once. But I didn't get much time, and I feel like there's a lot more that place can teach me."

"Can I come?" Akia asked, worried.

Kanna smiled and pressed her forehead against Akia's.

"I'm not going anywhere without you, kid." said the paladin. "Not ever again."

Akia smiled warmly.

"So, where is Elendaria exactly?" asked the girl.

"A few galaxies away." Kanna got up and made her way to the pilot's seat and pulled up the map. "I was hoping to exit east and head out through the 471 beta constellations."

"I wouldn't go that way." said Akia. "It's in the Syndicate's line of patrol, so we're bound to run into them."

"Okay so we'll just go out through Taizu's exit checkpoint."
