The preparations for the battle were almost complete.

Coran and Slav had been working together to build the giant Teludav which would be used to transport Zarkon's ship across the universe.

The paladins gathered around to admire their work, and they were nothing short of impressed.

"Wow." said Lance. "That is one giant Teludav."

"Nice work, Coran." said Kanna.

"Good job, Coran." said Hunk, patting the man on the shoulder.

In that instant, an screen poppe up on ship's controls, revealing Slav's image.

"I've made some improvements to your design." said Slav, while banging a rock against the Teludav. "This will increase our changes of survival in this reality by two hundred and five percent!"

Coran's face shrunk, and he looked like he was about to implode. The Altean man looked at the paladins and asked:

"Is this guy a little..."

"Yes." said Shiro

"No doubt." said Kanna.

"Not a fan." said Lance.

Coran let out a deep breath.

"Well, this wouldn't have been possible without all your help." said Coran.

"Yes, Coran is right. Hunk and Pidge, thank you for getting the scaultrite." said princess Allura.

"No problem." said Hunk. "You know, Keith was there too."

Allura then looked at Keith with an angry expression on her face and didn't say a word.

Upon seeing that, Kanna frowned. Her heart was breaking to see so much thoughtless pride and bitterness.

Once the paladins left the room to prepare, Kanna stayed behind.

"Princess Allura, could I speak with you alone for a moment?" asked Kanna.

Upon hearing Kanna's request, Coran left the room.

"Oh, sure Kanna. What do you wish to speak to me about?"

"Princess, I couldn't help but notice the way you've been acting towards Keith."

Allura looked down and responded:

"I- I don't know what you are referring to."

"Please, Allura, I am not here to scold you. I just want to help."

The princess frowned and looked at the white paladin.

"Kanna, you must understand my concern." said Allura. "The Galra destroyed my planet and killed my people. That same blood runs through his veins."

"I understand your fear. But Allura, its not fair to condemn him for something he hasn't done." said Kanna. "It doesn't matter where he comes from, what matters is what he chose to do with the life he was given. You know Keith. We all do. Him being Galra changes nothing."

Allura looked away, avoiding Kanna's gaze.

Kanna looked down to the floor in sadness.

"I just... I just think that if everyone chose compassion over judgement and curiosity over fear, perhaps we wouldn't need to be fighting this war." said Kanna. "Allura, although it can be hard sometimes, I do try to believe that the the truest nature of us all is to be kind. I know yours is. So all I ask is that you listen to the wiser voice in you."

When Kanna was done talking, she saw Allura was still looking away. The paladin let out a deep breath and walked away.
