The paladins were back on the road to Earth.
They were all exhausted, since Keith kept waking all of them up early everyday. He claimed having a routine was important so they would stay sharp despite the long journey.
Hunk, attempting to lighten everyone's mood, made his way to the back of his lion so he could prepare some improvised space-burritos for everyone.
He package all of them individually and tied them up to the wolf's back. Since he had the ability to tele-transport, he could deliver the food to each of the lions.
"Food incoming!" announced the yellow paladin, as the wolf zapped out of his lion. "Ah what a good wolf - fella -guy. Oh my gosh we gotta come up with a name for this wolf."
The wolf appeared in the black lion, and gave Krolia, Keith and Shiro their food.
"Not gonna happen." said Keith.
"Oh c'mon." said Hunk. "I vote for Kosmo."
The wolf then delivered food to Kanna.
"I like Kosmo." said the white paladin.
Next, he popped up in Lance's lion, followed by Pidge and Allura.
"Kosmo is cool!" said Lance.
"Yeah, its nice!" said Pidge.
"We're not calling him Kosmo." insisted Keith.
"Oh c'mon Keith, we gotta call him something." said Hunk.
"I figure when he's ready, he'll tell me his name." said Keith.
"So... Kosmo." said Lance, biting into his burrito. "Got it."
Suddenly, the black lion picked up on a very specific signal:
"Keith, turn that up, I recognize that pattern." said Krolia, leaning in closer to hear the signal.
"Judging by the intermittent sound structure its just deep space interference." said Pidge. "Most likely just a radiation pulse from a nearby star."
"No, that's just what its supposed to sound like." said Krolia. "Listen to the sound in between the pulses. There is a unique pattern. Before the blades were unified, we would use this crude way of communicating with each-other. Not many blades know this code - it must be a senior member."
"Kolivan?" asked Keith.
"Possibly."
"What does it say?" asked Shiro.
"Its a distress signal." said Krolia. "Whoever is sending it is in trouble."
"Are you sure?" asked Keith.
"Yes, I am. We must respond to their call." said Krolia.
"This would be a pretty big detour from our route." said Hunk.
"If Kolivan is there we need to check it out." said Keith. "We need all the help we can get to reach Earth."

Once the lions approached the location of the signal, Pidge ran a scan through the area.
"The signal is coming from this planet." she said. "I'm detecting remnants of a civilization, but I don't see any signs of life."
"Is that a good or a bad sign?" asked Romelle.
"In all of my space experience there have never been any good signs." said Hunk.
When the paladins landed on the planet's surface, they began making their way through the ruins on foot.
"I still can't tell exactly where the signal originates." said Pidge. "But I'll keep trying to triangulate its location."
