I froze. Completely froze. In front of me were two fire benders, and by the looks of it, I could tell another pair was behind me. The sun is barely out yet, why aren't they asleep? I knew the one on the left, he helped me escape the first time Zuko captured me. He said I reminded him of his long lost wife who lost her face to the spirit who steals faces. I could tell he barely remembered me, but I remembered him, I remembered his name too. I carefully dropped my glider on the ground and landed with a loud thud as I dropped down on my knees.
"Please Kai! I can't go back to that cell!" The others stared at him. It was then he remembered me, his eyes grew wide and his lips parted. "You know what happened the last time."
I made him uncomfortable by saying that, but I had to. I can't go back. Kai walked over to me and smirked. "Well, things have changed princess." His smirk grew as he raised his fist. My world went black.

I groaned loudly as I woke up. The moment I opened my eyes, I wanted to scream but a hand stopped me from screaming. His hand.
"Shh." He said to me. I nodded my head as fear crept in, he let go. Who is this person and how'd he get in here? "My name is Jet." He whispered, as if he read my mind. "Kai let me in." I almost smiled, I knew Kai didn't mean to hurt me.
"Kai helped you?" He nodded his head. He unleashed two hook like swords from behind his back.
"Follow me." Was all he said before we heard the twinkling of keys from outside my cell doors. Kai stepped in moments later, looking at me with regret in his eyes.
"I'm sorry about earlier Yana. I had to do it or else I would have lost my job." He slouched onto the bed. I sat next to him before choosing the correct words to say.
"It's okay Kai. It really is." I hugged him closer. "Why don't you come with me? I need a fire bending teacher." Kai shook his head at me.
"I wish I could accept your proposal Yana but I am needed here." Well, that sucks. How am I supposed to learn fire bending now? "But I know that someone with talent much greater than mine will teach you."
"Thank you Kai. Zuko truly does not deserve such a pure soul as yours." I hugged Kai again and he hugged back. I could hear Jet groan at us. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Now is clearly not the time to get all mushy mushy with each other. I have to get you out of here!" He seethed. Okay Jet, I'm done. Jeez! Even Sokka wasn't this annoying, okay he was when he followed me everywhere. But this is different, Jet is a mood killer.
"I never asked you to help me escape did I?" I remarked. Jet glared at me before grabbing my hand.
"You don't really have much of a choice here Yana."
