Before hitting the hard ground, I unleashed my glider and glided swiftly until I landed on the ground. How could Aang do that to me? He knew seeing her will trigger all the memories from the time I was held captive. I was dumb to forgive him.
"He didn't mean it you know?" A voice said. I didn't freak out because I knew who the voice belonged to. I faced the person but dropped my gaze again.
"Well whatever he meant, he hurt my feelings." I grunted out.
"That's not what I said Yana. Aang had to do it. You guys needed an earthbending teacher."
"I already had one, you. Why can't you just be my teacher again Haru?" I asked him as I faced him, looking him dead in his brown eyes. Haru looked like he did two years ago, the only difference was that he had a tiny mustache growing, and a goatee.
"I told you Yana, I'm not allowed to earthbend." Haru dropped his gaze. He looked embarrassed. Why, I don't know.
"That doesn't mean I have to suffer for what you should or shouldn't do."
"I had to stop Yana. They captured my dad and his group. I can't bend anymore or they will take me away and that means my mom will suffer." A tear rolled down his cheek and it disappeared into his mustache. I felt sorry for Haru, all this time I have been narcissistic and pure mean to my brother. I regret doing that now.
"Well, we are in the area." I took a step towards him as he collapsed into a fit of tears. I immediately ran over to him and tried comforting the only friend I have. "We will help Haru. Toph, Aang and I will help. Sokka too."
"The fire nation is after you Yana, you can't possibly risk your life for me and my old mother, again." Haru said in a sad tone that made me nearly cringe.
"Well Haru, that's what the Avatar should do and I'm the Avatar." I hugged Haru one more time. "I promise I'll help."

The banging on the door awoke me. My first thought was, maybe it's Zuko and I started freaking out. Haru's mother, who I call Mrs Haru, woke Haru and the others up. She looked worried.
"It's the fire nation." She told me. She glanced at the door. "Go and hide. They'll not be happy to see that I have visitors. Especially since both Avatars are here."
I nodded and followed Haru and the rest. He led us to the back room. It was further away from the kitchen, but surprisingly, we could hear all the commotion. Haru's mother was currently crying, and the fire nation soldiers were screaming and shouting at her, something about fees that weren't paid.
"It's a simple choice lady." A gruff voice, which I immediately recognized as one of the guards who captured me, said before I heard Haru's mother yelp in pain. "Give us the fees, or we take your life. Which will it be?"
"I told you." Mrs Haru cried out. "I don't have any money." She sobbed. The guard laughed out and I heard her yelp.
"Your life it is." At that moment, Haru was boiling with anger. He wanted to rush to his mother's aid but I stopped him immediately.
"I'll go." I said, immediately Sokka's ears perked up and he was in front of me.
"Please don't do this Yana." He pleaded. "You might not come back."
"I have to go Sokka, I have no other choice. Mrs Haru and her son have been nothing but kind to me. I have to return the kindness. I'm sorry Sokka." I hugged him tightly. "And I love you." I mumbled in his chest. When I looked up to look at him, he had tears streaming down his cheeks. All of a sudden, Sokka kissed me on the lips. I was highly surprised, I mean I have never kissed anyone. Well, I did kiss Kai on the cheek as a simple thank you and my dad as I grew up, but this was different. When he pulled away, I was dazed for a moment before I took a hold of my glider. I took one look at them and rushed out the room.
I found Mrs Haru on the floor, with a spear through her stomach and the fire nation guards grinning like idiots when she gurgled blood from her mouth. I made my presence known by clearing my throat and they turned around, stunned.
"You died! You can't be alive!" The gruff voiced one said. His partner looked like a new recruit.
"You better scram." I hissed. "If you don't want me to kick your butts."
"Mako, I think we should do as the lady says." His partner begged. He looked like an earthbender, but I don't understand. Why would he betray his people like that?
"Not now Bolin. She's just a kid."
"But also the Avatar. And possibly a ghost." His partner, Bolin, chuckled nervously. Mako shot him a look.
"Ghosts don't exist." He deadpanned. "If we turn her in, we might get enough money to leave the fire nation Bolin."
"I'm still here if any of you were wondering." I said as I dropped my glider. I kneeled down next to Mrs Haru, who was surprisingly still alive. She coughed and blood splashed on my face.
"Protect..." She said before she coughed again. This time, the blood splattered on my outfit. "Haru." Tears stung my eyes as I watched her eyes roll backwards. Mako and Bolin were still here, maybe waiting to capture me.
"I will kill the both of you if you don't leave this compound immediately." I said bitterly. I could feel my anger building up and it was mixing up with my sadness.
"What can a little girl like you, do to two strong benders like us?" Mako asked me. I rolled my eyes, how dumb can this guy be?
"I'd be running by now if I were you guys."
"Why?" Bolin dared to ask.
"Because..." My eyes began glowing. "I'm uncontrollable when I'm in the Avatar state."
