We were moving.
I was sure of that but I wasn't sure how I ended up in Sokka's arms. I could hear the deafening cries and pleas of Haru but I didn't understand why. Didn't I help him like I promised I would? And why was there the smell of burnt hair wafting around in the air? My eyes slowly opened and I took in our surroundings. We were moving at a fast pace.
“Yana!” Sokka yelled out and tears poured from his eyes. He immediately engulfed me in a back breaking hug and planted several little kisses on my forehead. I smiled like the idiot I am and blushed heavily.
“What happened?” I asked him once he set me down on solid ground. “I can hardly remember anything.”
“Haru's mom is dead. Fire nation soldiers came looking for fees which Haru's mother didn't have. You sort of killed them, but you did it because you were protecting us. So don't feel guilty about it.”
Strangely, I didn't feel any guilt. “Was I in the Avatar state?”
“Yeah, you firebended too.” Sokka said as we began moving. “Since you logged into fire, a fire bender teacher is needed.”
I was shocked by that. But also delighted. All my life, I've been trying to bend fire but all I created was smoke. Lee liked to joke around and say I was smoke bending. “I know just who to ask, but he lives in the Fire Nation, within the castle walls. He'll be extremely hard to reach, and the biggest obstacle will be getting him out the castle. He's pretty loyal to the royal family, especially that punk head Zuko, so he won't come willingly. I know who can get us in, I hate him but it's our only chance. Kai is the best firebender I have ever seen, and I can't loose him.”

“Hey Yana? I just wanted to say I'm very sorry for what Zuko and his maniac sister did to you. Ty Lee and I didn't want to be there, but Ty was being loyal to Azula. I was only there because Aang asked me to be there.”
“I don't understand, why would Aang ask you to be there?”
“We met during the period of time when you were missing.” Toph shrugged, wolfing the little fruit and nuts we collected. By we, I mean Momo and I. He wanted to help, so I couldn't deny. I picked most of the fruit, he was just interested in the nuts. Aang pretty much yelled his lungs out at the both of us.
“Oh.” I said and grabbed a few nuts, I threw them in the direction of Momo. Once he was done eating those, he practically began worshipping me as a God. “Toph, not to be mean or anything, but I don't really need help earth bending. I'll figure out some tough moves later, excuse the pun. I'm trying to concentrate more on fire.”
“No, I totally understand. Twinkle toes on the other hand has to work on his earth bending, if he actually wants to kick fire nation butt.” I giggled at what Toph said. The nickname she gave Aang was pretty funny.
“What do you think of Katara? Has she spoken to you yet?” I asked Toph out of pure curiosity. She shook her head.
“Ice queen barely says a word, only talks to Aang when they practice.”
“You'll not believe this but ever since I met her, she only said eight words to me. It's kinda weird.” I shrugged my shoulders. It was earthing weird, traveling with someone and you hardly know a thing about that particular person, it truly was.
“What's going on with you and boomerang guy?” Toph asked. I silently thanked the monks that she was blind and couldn't see my evident blush.
“To be honest, not even I know.”
