After not speaking with Aang and Katara for over two weeks, they finally had come to their senses and had asked for an apology. I forgave them, but that doesn't mean that I forgot what they did. I've grown close to Sokka, very close. So close I'm not sure we're friends anymore, I think we've come to point where we're dating. But I'm not sure, I mean I do want to ask him but I don't want to loose whatever we have now.
“So, we have a new member coming in today gang.” Aang had said that morning when we were packing up our tents. “We're going to the Earth Kingdom so we have to blend in, people think, no, people know that Yana died. They know we took off her corpse and we definitely don't want to be seen.”
I eyed Aang before speaking up. “Who's the new recruit?”
“You'll see.” He nervously said. I wanted to press further but I let it go once I saw the worry in his eyes. “You might never speak to me after this, but I just wanted you to know that she is the right person to teach us bending so that we can master Earth.”
Something told me I wouldn't like this one bit. Even my inner Yana agreed.

“Why do you have an Earth Kingdom attire Yana?” Sokka had asked the minute I reappeared from my tent, which we had to unpack because we needed to change, I needed to change actually.
“I used to stay at the Earth Kingdom.” I said as I pulled on the strings of my shirt. “Before I went to Ba Sing Se.”
“Oh, and that's why you want to return to Ba Sing Se?”
“Yeah and cause I haven't seen my earthbending friend for over two years.”
“What was her name?”
I chuckled lightly. “Haru. It's a he.”
“A he you say?” Sokka scratched his chin. “Is he better looking than me? Has he got more muscles than me? Wait, is he older or younger than me?”
“Oh Sokka!” I slapped him lightly on the shoulder. “Haru is much older than you. Last time I was there, he had his 18th birthday party. That was two years ago, he must be 20 or 21 this year.”
“Oh, and you don't feel the need to kiss him right?”
I couldn't help but smile at what Sokka just said. “Are you... Jealous?”
“What?! No no no!” He frantically yelled out as he waved his hands in front of his face. “I was just asking... You know, trying to protect a friend here?”
“Right.”
“I'm serious. I was just thinking maybe you wanted him to I don't know, maybe kiss you?”
“He's my friend Sokka! Not lover!” I giggled at his stupidity.
“Sure.”
He didn't sound convinced.

The flight to the Earth Kingdom was quiet. Sokka fell asleep on my lap and I was slowly stroking his hair. Katara and Aang had small talks now and then but they never lasted. I began wondering about this new recruit. Will I like her? By the way Aang spoke of her, I'm pretty sure I won't. He made it sound as if I loathed her even though I don't know who she is. Maybe I do know who it is, what if it's Toph? I mean she is an earthbender but like she's blind, how can she be our teacher? But I shouldn't judge because Monk Iyatso once told me a story, the story of Monk Haruhi.
Monk Haruhi was born blind in the Western Air Temples. Monk Iyatso didn't get the opportunity to meet him but he met his brother Haruki. He was the one who told Monk Iyatso all about Haruhi. But from the tales I heard from Monk Iyatso, Haruhi was selfish and narcissistic. But he was the best Airbender you could ever get, he sadly died before Aang and I were born.
“We're here!” Aang announced and I shook Sokka awake. I looked down over to the Kingdom. It didn't look like the Earth Kingdom I left when I was still here. It looked more evolved than before. “There she is.” Aang pointed to a blurry figure that stood on the walls slash gates. It was a girl, with bangs over her eyes. Wait...Is that Toph?! My fears were confirmed when she jumped on Appa.
“Weren't...” My voice gave out as I recalled that day. “Weren't you bad?!” And even though Toph never really did anything, the taunting, the hurt and the pain I felt when I was in the cell came hurling back.
I began shaking badly, very badly. The only thing that will calm me down right now is doing the thing that I am best at, running away. But I don't want to run now, and I clearly don't have a choice in this. I have to run away.
Without thinking, I jumped off Appa.
“Yana!” Sokka's voice ringed in my head.

💧Why would Aang do this? To his only real family?
💧Do you think Yana will forgive him? To be fair, I wouldn't.
💧Lastly, do you think she's okay? I mean like, she jumped off Appa! And they were still airborne!
