RIP, Mac Miller.

"It'll be okay." I said to Alana.

"M-my Dad has cancer?" Alana asked Dr. Nathan.

"I'm afraid so, Ms. Knight," Dr. Nathan said sadly.

"How long does he have?" She looked at his eyes for answers, but found nothing.

"Five months."

"Tell me you're kidding. Please."

"I have to go, Ms. Knight. I'm sorry."

"It's going to be okay," I said, "You have me."

"I know," she continued to cry, "but it still hurts."

"You have me and Robert. It'll be okay."

We were then escorted out of the hospital.

I'm sorry, Ms. Winters, but your mother's dead...

I'm sorry, Ms. Winters, but your Dad had tried to kill himself...

I love you.

Promise me you'll be okay.

These words echoed in my head the entire way home. The words replayed in my head until I couldn't keep up with it anymore.

I need to go away, I thought. Too much pressure. I hate seeing Mr. Knight dying. He's been such a good friend to Steven and I. And now he's dying. I need to do something as soon as possible.

I texted Alana.

Y: R u okay?

A: No.

A: I want 2 crawl into bed & sleep. Really upset rn. Gn.

Y: Feel better. Hope sleeping helps. Gn.

A/N-I'm so sorry this chapter's super short. I was very busy this weekend & just now uploading (it's 8:30PM here). At least I still uploaded a chapter!

Also, it feels like no one wants to read this story. Thinking of deleting it.
