Hope

You should always have hope; no matter how hard things get. Hope can get you through the toughest times of your life.

That's what I'll have on my wall, Rachael thought. She looked at the words:

You should always have hope; no matter how hard things get. Hope can get you through the toughest times of your life.

Yes, perfect.

She went to Red Ruby's and got it.

"That'll be five dollars, miss." The cashier said.

Rachael handed the nice cashier five dollars.

"Thank you. I needed this." She said as the cashier put it in a bag for her. "Oh, no, ma'am, I don't need a bag. Thank you, though."

"You're very welcome." The cashier said. "Have a nice day."

"You too. Goodbye."

"Goodbye."

I really needed this. After all that I've went though the past year: Mom and Alana dead, my eating disorder, Dad's suicide attempt, being in the hospital for two months. He has really spared my life and I'm forever thankful for it. There is hope.

I walked past Robert's house and saw him mowing the lawn.

"Hey, what's up?" Robert said, wiping sweat off his brow.

"Nothing much, just got a treat for myself."

"What is it?"

"Look and see."

I opened the bag and pulled the surprise out.

"Wow, that's perfect."

"I know, right? There's always hope even in the darkest of times."

"Very well said. Got to get back to work, sorry, honey."

"It's okay. Date Saturday?"

"Yes, of course. It's always a 'yes' to you, I mean, if I have nothing going on."

"Of course, I understand. I got to get home now. See you at school."

"Okay, goodbye, honey."

"Goodbye."

After putting the poster in my room, I thought, Everything's truly changed, but I believe for the better. Robert and I are doing well--the best boyfriend ever--my grades are doing great, and summer's going to start soon. New season, new me. New season, new beginnings. New season, new hope for the future.

A/N-Chapter 12 is complete! Rachael's super positive (as we all should be during tough times). I'm stressed--but still positive. I have 2 C's & a B right now. I will pass my classes and go to university.
