Just to let you know, this chapter is quite boring but also hella gay.
I opened the door and was greeted by the lovely smell of bacon and eggs. I closed the bathroom door behind me and made my way to the kitchen.
Jace sat on the counter with a plate in hand, stacked with eggs and some toast.
"There's eggs in the pan, bread on the counter and orange juice in the fridge." Jace said as he took a bite from his toast.
"Thanks." My voice came out hoarse and I cleared my throat before grabbing myself a plate.
I quietly fixed myself some food and in the corner of my eye I saw Jace watching me as he ate.
"So um..." I started, "How long do you plan on staying here?"
"Not that long, I'll be leaving once Toni comes back. What about you?"
I shoved a fork full of egg into my mouth as I thought of a reply, "I'm not sure, I'm looking for a place to stay as of right now."
I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to give myself away so I chose my answers carefully. Jace didn't have to know the real reason.
"Where do you work?"
I took a bite of bacon, "I don't."
"Oh really? How old are you?" Jace took another bite of his toast.
"I'm 17, you?"
"18." He drummed his fingers on the counter, "You're at the age to get a job. I know some people I could hook you up with if you want."
I almost dropped my plate, "Are you serious?!"
Jace laughed, "Yeah."
"Oh my god, actually? Thank you so much!" I put my plate down and pulled out my phone, "Here take my number, let me know when you find an opening."
Jace and I exchanged numbers and I couldn't get a smile off my face.
Once I got a job, I would be able to rent an apartment and eventually move far away from here. It would take a while but I'd have to work quite a few jobs, but hard work never killed anyone did it?
After I finished eating I put my plate in the sink. On the counter beside the sink was the note that Toni left Jace. It was way longer then my note and it read:
Jacie-poo
I'm leaving my friend with youuuu
You already know the rules of my house but I'd like to remind you if you decide to fuck my friend please use a condom, don't use my bed, and be as rough as you want ;))))))
And try to get rid of the pussy smell in her room.
Make her breakfast
-eggs (with no milk cause she's allergic)
-toast
-bacon (don't eat any tho it's mine)
-there's orange juice in the fridgeThe rest of the note she left him with some chores to do while she was gone. No other mentions about me.
I was about to pick up the paper and rip it up because of the sexually disturbing line she put about me but then Jace appeared out of no where and swiped the paper out my my hands.
I turned around so fast I almost got whiplash.
"Please don't rip that, I need it." Jace said carefully folding the paper and slipping it into his back pocket.
"Sorry..." I said walking past him.
I went into the living room and Jace followed. There really wasn't much to do at Toni's house, it explained a lot on why she spent most of her time outside a lot.
