This chapter is pretty short cause it's kind of just a filler 😬

I woke up to the feeling of something cold and wet on my cheek.

I almost jumped when a strong hand grabbed my shoulder. I opened my eyes and I was looking up at Jace who had a concerned look on his face.

"Woah there, I thought you were having a seizure... It's just frozen peas." Jace placed the bag of frozen peas back onto my face before standing.

I was laying in the living room on one of the couches with a warm blanket overtop of me. I didn't remember falling asleep in the car, let alone walking back in here.

I guess Jace carried me.

I don't know why he didn't wake me up. Maybe he had a thing for carrying things and people and stuff.

Jace straightened out the blanket over me and sat in the lazy boy chair.

"As you were sleeping I was thinking of showing you how the programs work today and then possibly having you start working tomorrow."

I sat up from the couch, holding the pack of peas to my face, "Sure. The sooner we start the faster things will go." I swung my legs over the couch and Jace stood.

"I like your spirit."

Jace led me up stairs and into an office.

It was as big as the room I first woke up in. There were two desks facing each other with iMac's on them. There was filing cabinets basically everywhere and it looked like an office. There were also a couple of instruments laying around.

"So over here," Jace motioned to the computer on the right, "Is my desk. I have most of the camera and things used for pictures over here, I have a lot of important documents and contracts over here so I advise you don't touch this desk."

"Random question, why do you need me to take videos and pictures and stuff? What's your job?"

"I'm a YouTuber."

"Woah actually? That's sick!"

Jace nodded, "Anyways, as for here this is your desk. I got it recently and everything is new. This is what you'll use to edit the videos, pictures and sometimes also upload my videos."

I pulled out the leather swiftly chair and took a seat. It was extremely comfortable and smelt of brand new leather.

"Awesome." I smiled setting down the pack of frozen peas as Jace wheeled himself in his hair to my side of the computer.

He pressed the button to start up the monitor.

"Have you ever used one of these before?" He asked.

"No."

"You're able to use it manually and with touch screen. I prefer manually because I like keeping the screen clean but this is yours. You can do whatever."

"And it will end up looking a little something like this." Jace said clicking the video.

(Watch the video and may your ears be blessed 😍)

"Holy crap, you're so good." I whispered.

Jace chuckled, "Thank you. But do you understand it now?"

I nodded. "Yep."

"Good. Cause I'm hungry again." Jace pushed back from his chair and stretched.

It had been three hours of Jace teaching me how to maneuver the programs he used. He had quite a complex way of doing things but it came out very professional in the end.

Jace left the room and I followed him to the kitchen.

"What do you want for supper?" Jace asked picking his phone off the counter.

"I don't know. What do you have?"

"I have whatever. I can make you something or we can have take out. It's up to you." I looked at the time on the stove, it was 6:45. I would have loved for Jace to cook for me but it was late.

"Let's have Chinese food."

"You said you were going to give me your old phone."

"This is my old phone."

"An iPhone 8? Are you serious? What kind of phone do you use right now?"

"The iPhone X."

I frowned, "Dude my old phone was nothing compared to this. I was using an iPhone 6 for goodness sakes." (No shade on people with older phones.)

"It's alright Jade, just use this phone for now." Jace pushed the phone towards me.

"How much do I have to pay for rent?"

"What?"

"How much do I have to pay to live here?" I repeated, "I'm not gonna life here for free, that's for sure. And you don't have to keep buying me food, I have a job now."

"The work that you're doing covers everything."

"Even this phone?"

"Everything that you'll ever need." Jace said as he took a sip of water.

"You're too kind... Honestly."
