Lea left early in the morning for some kind of meeting.
I hoped she wasn't too mad about what happened last night.
To silently get her forgiveness I decided to do some chores. I cleaned the toilets, changed the garbage's in all the bathrooms and now I was doing some laundry.
While doing all of this I hadn't gotten a single glimpse of Jace. He hadn't come out of his room once, and I hadn't heard any movement from upstairs for the past two hours.
Was he dead?
Or maybe hibernating?
I closed the washing machine and turned it on before I picked up the laundry basket and made my way upstairs.
It was so heavy that by the time I got up the stairs I had to take a little break since I was so out of breath.
I headed to my room first since my clothes were on the top and started to put my clothes away. I had things like underwear, pants and shirts to put away.
I was glad Lea let me borrow her clothes.
Come to think of it, It had been a while since I last heard from Toni.
We'd gotten in a fight about her taking my things that I was way over by now. But as for her... I wasn't so sure cause she knew how to hold a grudge.
Once I finished I sorted the rest and decided which would go to which room.
Majority of the clothes were Lea's and the only thing that was Jace's was a pair of black socks.
I picked up the socks and headed to Jace's room.
I knocked on the door, "I got laundry, Can I come in."
I heard movement on the other side of the door before Jace spoke, "Come in."
I opened the bedroom door and the first thing I looked at was well...nothing It was extremely dark, The only light that shone into the room was a tiny crack from in between his curtains.
"I just got some socks." I said I held them out to Jace who laid on his bed.
"Can you close the door? I don't want any light coming in. And you can just put those on the dresser." Jace pointed to the dresser that was on the other side of the room.
I closed the door behind me and awkwardly made my way across his room. He just watched me for a brief moment before he he got off his bed and stood.
As placed the socks on the dresser and walked back to the door.
"Jade, wait." Jace said as he grabbed hold of my wrist.
I turned to him, "What?"
"Look..." I was barely able to see him and because of that I wasn't able to see what kind of look he had on his face, "Can we talk?"
"O...kay?" I was confused and also kind of scared.
What was there to talk about?
Jace took a couple steps towards me, "Its about Lea."
I swallowed as my eyesight adjusted, "She's still mad isn't she?"
"Um.... That I'm not sure about but I want to talk about something else." Jace got even closer and I had to back up to keep personal space. ]
Why was he acting so weird?
"I'm going to break up with her."
"What?" I frowned at him.
Why was he going to break up with Lea so suddenly?
My eyes widened, Was it because of me?
"Why?" I asked taking a couple steps back, my back bumped into a wall.
Jace came even closer, "My feelings for her have started to change. And I've developed feelings for someone else." He closed the space between us, and placed a hand beside my head.
What was happening?
"Do you know who that might be Jade?" he lowered his head and got closer.
Holy fuck.
I was about to faint.
No, I was about to die.
My heart was beating so fast it. If it kept beating like this it was surely going to beat out of my chest.
He tucked a couple loose strands of hand behind me ear and cupped the side of my face,
"It's you, Jade."
And then he kissed me.
