"Jade remember when I said I wanted to talk to you about something?" Toni said out of the blue as I took out my bowl of noodles from the microwave.

"Yeah?"  I opened the drawer and grabbed a spoon before hip bumping the drawer closed.

"Well it has to do with you living here."

I picked up a spoonful of noodles and blew on it. I had a general idea on what she was going to say. She was going to tell me I had to get a job.

"As you know, you may be living here for sometime but I can't guarantee that long. I mentioned you'd have to get a job, not only to live here but also because some things have come up." Toni said, "I've started a business recently. And that to do with the producing of marijuana."

I almost dropped my bowl, "Since when?"

"I'm not exactly sure, something like a couple weeks from now. But things move fast so I can't guarantee you any longer then 2 weeks and that's why you'll have to get a job. The room that you're staying in right now is where I actually plan on growing the weed."

This kind of business is the last kind that I'd think Toni would go into.

"Are you serious right now?" I had really depended on her for some shelter but now I had to fend for myself. Literally.

"Sweet cheeks I'm serious. I would let you stay but the kind of people I'll be letting into my house are kind of..." she paused in thought, "the kind of people you in particular wouldn't like to be around."

I put my bowl down, "But Toni, I'm supposed to be in hiding, how can I-"

"That brings me to my next point. I have some left over hair dye in the bathroom, so we can try to change your hair style up a bit since changing your appearance will really change your identity."

"But-"

"Violet is a hairdresser she knows how to safely dye your hair so you don't have to worry about your hair falling off or some shit." Toni let out a sarcastic laugh.

I didn't know what to say. I was going to be kicked out in a time limit of two weeks or even less. The person that I'd thought be able to help me dropped me so fast and I was about to be homeless.

That made me think whether or not running away was a good idea.

Maybe I should just go back home and turn myself in. Letting the cops find out about me would put me in more trouble. Besides, being placed in prison will at least give me some place to live and who cares if I got a criminal record. I'm sure there was something I could do to get rid of it soon enough.

"Toni do you know where my dildo is?" Violet strolled into the kitchen. She looked at me and a light shade of pink dusted her cheeks, "Oh crap, sorry. I'm not used to having a third person in the house."

I let out an awkward laugh, maybe she wasn't the innocent person she seemed to be.

"Violet, I'm glad you're not busy. I talked to Jade about the things that are happening in the next couple of weeks and she agreed to getting her hair dyed."

Violet turned to me and beamed, "Great! I'll get my stuff and I'll meet you guys in the bathroom."
