I closed the door of my room and went straight to my bed. I flopped face first and sighed.

I wondered what Lea thought about me being here. Did she know I was living here? Had Jace told her?

If he didn't then man, she'd  be in for something. But it wasn't as if we had sex or anything... not like he'd be interested in my ugly ass.

And since when did Jace actually have a girlfriend!? It really didn't make sense.

What was she like? Would she not like the fact I live here thinking that I would try something with Jace? Or maybe their relationship was that strong that she didn't even have to think twice about him cheating on her (with me because I'm ugly).

I rolled onto my back and looked up at the ceiling.

How long had they been dating for?

Probably so long that kissing wasn't an awkward thing.

I remembered the smile Jace had on his face when he introduced me to her, and how close they were to each other.

I sighed.

I'd never had my first kiss (not surprising) let alone a boyfriend.

Growing up in school I was more on the heavier side and kids would bully me, calling me a cow because of my black hair and pale white skin. Then in middle school I was determined to lose weight but actually gained 40 pounds more in the two years. My first year of high school I lost all the weight along with 20 more pounds.

In an unhealthy way of course.

I cried almost every single day. You would never see me eating and I'd always wear black baggy clothing. I was obsessed with counting calories, and burning fat.

The only two words I would think about all that year was losing weight.

In 10th grade I tried to commit suicide. I popped half a bottle of Tylenol and downed it with a bottle of whiskey. All I remember was passing out on the kitchen floor and the next thing I knew, I woke up to the bright lights of a hospital room. (My mom came in a few minutes later, beyond pissed).

In 11th grade I started to cut. I would cut every night hoping I would be able to numb myself of the emotional pain I would feel.

And now I in 12th grade, I had already committed a criminal offence, smoked weed and got into an actual fight with my best friend (or should I say ex best friend... Hate that bitch.)

Things had moved fast hadn't they?

"If I ever made it to my old age, I would have some wild stories to tell my grandchildren." I laughed to myself before I sat up.

Just then the door to my room swung open and it was Lea, "Aren't you coming down for lunch?" She had a big smile on her face.

I hesitated to answer, "Oh, I'm good thanks."

Lea stepped in the room with her arms crossed, "I'm not buying it." She came up to my bed and stretched out a hand, "Come on, just give it a try. I'm sure you're only saying that cause you had to eat Jace's cooking before. But don't worry, I cooked this time." She laughed.

I didn't want to be rude since I just met her so I decided to go. I got off the bed and followed her down stairs.

Jace was already in the dining room eating. I dishes myself my bowl of these huge beans covered in tomato sauce.

Apparently they were called Gigandes Plaki (Gigades for short). Also known as a food I hadn't tried before.

I sat down across from Jace and Lea sat beside me.

"Did you know Gigandes is a Greek dish? I know how to make it because I happen to be Greek." Lea smiled.

"Nice." I had my first spoonful and it had an interesting texture. The beans were quite creamy but as for the soup/sauce that was added to it, was delicious.

"Do you like it?" Lea asked.

I smiled with a nod.

This chapter was mostly a filler so sorry that it wasn't that interestinggg... It will soon become interesting. I promise ;)
