I was not expecting that at all.

You would think that after all the hours I'd spent with Jace - watching him talk, laugh and frown - that I would know all there was to know about his lips. But I hadn't imagined how warm they would feel pressed up against my own.

His hand rested below my ear and his thumb caressing my cheek as our breaths mingled.

There were a million thoughts and emotions running through my body.

He liked me.

Was this really happening? I had to be dreaming.

How did he learn how to kiss so well?

Is this how it felt to kiss.

But one thought in particular stood out,

What about Lea?

I wanted to pull away before I lose myself but I can't seem to...In this minty moment, my senses have been seduced and I can no longer think straight.

His hands ran down my body and stopped at my waist as he pulled me even closer to him. So close I was able to feel his seemingly steady heart beat through his chest against mine.

Jace slowly pulled away and goes to my neck.

He slowly kissed his way from my jaw down to my collar bones and I gasped as I tilted my head upwards.

Warmth radiates from the spot where his lips touched my neck, slowly spreading through the rest of me.

"Jace..." I barely whispered.

He let out a low hum at the base of my neck and I felt him smile against my skin.

What about Lea?

The voice in my head spoke again.

If I kept going what was going to happen?

Suddenly I felt a subtle sting at the soft part of my neck near my collarbone. Then there was a strong sucking in the spot and I knew what he was going to do.

But then suddenly, Jace just stopped. Pulled back and looked down at my face with a soft smile.

"Look at you," he softly chuckled, "You're as red as a rose."

He was right. I was flustered and internally screaming on the inside.

"Why did you do that?" I whispered.

Jace took a step back and ran a hand through his hair. Suddenly the smile dropped from his face and he covered his mouth.

"I'm sorry."

"I..." I shook my head, "I gotta go."

I moved as fast as I could out of the room.
