Chapter Ten

No POV

Pidge tossed and turned all night, having nightmares about her brother and father, about finding them in the worst situation, dead.

She never stopped thinking about them, they were her personal mission. And she would stop at nothing to find them.

Shiro, after getting out of the healing pod, sat by Pidge all night until she woke up. He hated seeing her so stressed but he couldn't do anything, even if she was having nightmares she needed sleep.

Her eyes gently fluttered open and as they adjusted to being open, she saw Shiro sat on a chair by her bed.

"Shiro?" She asked groggily.

"Hey Pidge," he said quietly. "Get any sleep?"

"I'm not sure, but I was having nightmares." She shuddered at the memory. "They were about Matt, and my Dad." She looked at her bedside table, then to Shiro. He looked exhausted.

"Shiro, you look tired. You should go get some sleep." He shook his head.

"I'm not leaving you." Pidge started blushing and looked away.

"You don't have to leave," he looked a little confused. He had an idea of what she was talking about but he wasn't sure.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I mean, sleep in my bed. With me." Shiro formed an "O" with his mouth and got in hesitantly, Pidge moved over to the wall.

"Goodnight Pidge." He smiled.

"Goodnight Shiro."

Shiro's POV

"What do we have here?" Lance said, hopping around Pidges room.

Keith stood at the door smirking at me. Hunk then entered the room and almost spat out his food. "What's going on here?!" Hunk said, mouth full of food.

"Clearly, Shiro and Pidge slept together." Lance screamed.

I looked down at Pidge who had an arm draped on my clothed stomach and her head was tucked into my arm. She was still asleep, despite Lance and Hunks screaming.

I didn't want to move incase I woke her, she clearly needed the sleep. Plus, I was comfortable. I don't think I'm ever going to get this chance again.

I shushed Lance and Hunk and told them to leave, Pidge needed rest. They nodded and left, leaving me, Pidge and Keith.

"When are you gonna tell her?" Keith sat down after shutting the door.

"I'm not sure. I would tell her now if I could."

"Why can't you?" He had a point. The only thing stopping me was my fear of rejection. It could ruin the whole team, unless of course we were mature about it. Put the point is, I've had the occasional girlfriend in my time but I've never had feeling for anyone in this way.

"Rejection, I suppose." I replied, sighing. Pidge stirred and slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes.

"Hey guys."

"Hey." me and Keith said in unison.

"What happened before? Wait, why am in the castle? Where is the red lion?!" She panicked.

Keith stood up. "We've got the red lion back, thanks to you and Shiro." He said. "I'll leave you two alone."

After the door shut Pidge turned to me. "What happened, Shiro?"
