Chapter Eleven

Readers POV

As Keith left and the door closed, I turned to Shiro. "What happened, Shiro?" I asked.

He sighed and looked down at the ground.

"The Galra, the leader, he came into the hangar we were going to escape in. He picked you by the throat and flung you across the room." He looked dizzy and uncomfortable now. I sat next to him and took his hand, giving him a reassuring smile.

"You were falling in and out of consciousness but I couldn't do anything. I had to fight him off, before he could get to you. He kept telling me that you're important and he knew where your family was." My eyes widened slightly as Shiro took a deep breath.

"I got so angry that I didn't hear everything he said. I took him by the neck with my arm," he lifted his robotic arm a little, showing me which arm he used. "And I just, squeezed and eventually it just...popped."

My breath caught in my throat. I didn't know Shiro could do something like that. He must of seen the slightly afraid look on my face.

"Look Pidge, I don't know what happened. You got hurt and I was afraid that you were going to die." He looked at me hopefully. "I guess I just snapped."

I looked away from him and stared at my feet.

"I'm sorry." He said. His voice sounded so full of regret and pain. He seemed afraid that I might be disappointed in him.

"You did what you had to." I whispered. Shiro stood up and stepped away from my bed, his back facing towards me. I couldn't resist the urge, so I stood up and wrapped my arms around him, leaning the side of my face on his back.

He froze for a minute and wasn't sure of what to do. After a few silent minutes, I let go and he turned around, engulfing me in a really tight embrace, slightly raising me off of my feet.

I didn't want him to let me go. He smelled so sweet and he was so warm.

"Listen, Shiro. I get it. I probably would have done the same thing if it were any of you guys in my situation." He put me down. "I forgive you." He sighed as if throwing away burden and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Thank you, Pidge. It means the world to me." He smiled.

"Anytime," I winked back. Anytime.
