Third POV
The crowds cheers echoed and clashed with the walls, noise everywhere and excitement rang throughout the arena.

Pidge stood ready, unafraid, unaware, out of control. It was no longer the green paladin who stood at the end of the ring. No, it was something much different.

The door to the other side of the ring opened and Pidge's first opponent began making their way through the rocks and pillars scattered around. Without any expression, Pidge moved swiftly around the arena until she got a good view of him.

The creature looked like a giant green blob grew legs. Luckily for Pidge, this creature hadn't seen her yet. She was waiting for the right moment to attack, as soon as it turned to the crowd and had its back towards her she lunged forward. Running towards the creature as stealthily as she could.

She spotted a large pillar like rock that had fallen over, a perfect bridge. She jumped up and ran towards the creatures head after grabbing a fairly large pointed stone and sprung herself onto its shoulders, pulling her arms over her head and allowing them to fall to his. A green gunk splat across her face as the monster froze and fell to its knees, the crowd no longer cheering and instead staring at the small human in shock.

"Never seen a human splatter a monsters brains before?!" She yelled at the crowd, earning herself screams of congratulations and success. She smiled evilly and used her thumb to wipe the gunk from her bottom lip. Feeling pleased with herself, she used the knelt down giant as a boost to climb up onto the tallest pillar. One hand after the other gripped the top of the stone and she used her strength to pull herself up, standing tall with her arms in the air.

"I didn't think she could do it!" Honerva stared down at the purple soldier who spoke with an emotionless glare.
"You dare doubt your queen?!" She spoke sternly.
"Oh, your highness I would never-" but his words were cut short as a dark matter like lightning erupted from the witches fingers and he disappeared, making the others nervous and stiff.
"Fear gets you killed. And so does doubting the one most powerful. The Paladin is in my control, and all she can do is watch."

Pidge awoke from a blank world of nothing and looked through her eyes, except it was something was far from normal. She didn't seem to be in control of her actions, her body. She looked around through her body's eyes and saw a giant creature on the floor beneath her, his head severely damaged and she couldn't help but worry that it was her who did that.

"Send out your worst!" Pidge demanded. Her conscious self looked around in confusion. "Your strongest couldn't defeat me!" And so they did, sending out their strongest. But Pidge has no idea what her body was getting her into. She sat in her barely conscious mind awaiting the next villain who could tear her limb from limb. She heard some of the aliens call out monsters they wanted to see fight her. And one of them stuck out to her most; Champion. She swore she heard that name before. One of their deadliest, no, the deadliest. She shuddered and watched as her mouth called out Champions name.

Pidge turned to a pair of chamber doors at one end of the arena, watching them slide open revealing a slouching but strong figure in the darkness. Pidge slowly began to realise who Champion was, and her suspicions were regretfully confirmed as she watched him step into the ring. She begged herself to leave him alone, she hoped her body would listen. But instead, she crouched down and looked at Champion, a sly grin on her face.
"This is going to be fun." She snickered. The small new warrior stepped down off of the tall pillar and landed with a grunt, pulling herself up and walking cockily over to her opponent.

"Pidge?" He called out hopefully. Champion gazed over his friends body, seeing a complete change in stance and attitude. Her smile was different too, it wasn't the same goofy one he fell in love with, no. Her smile was one filled with the experience of killing, and he wondered just what they had done to her during the short time they had been apart. Oh, how he hoped they hadn't hurt her too much like they did to him. But of course he knew that Pidge seemed to be out for blood, and right now she wanted his.

"The mighty Champion, it's you Shiro. It's a shame, I have your friend under my control. She will do as I command." A cold harsh voice rung out from Pidges lips. Shiro knew it wasn't her talking. He glanced quickly at a large window which allowed him to view what he assumed to be a royal box, and in it he saw Honerva standing at the window with a smile similar to Pidges.

"Pidge, come on I know you don't want to do this. Pidge you have to fight it!" He knew saying something wouldn't do much, but he had to try.
"I have a job to do, and I'm going to do it. Prepare to die Shiro, because I am not letting you escape." It pained Pidge to watch her body say these things to him, but she couldn't do anything to stop what was about to happen.
"Pidge, come on. I know you're in there. You have to fight, Pidge. Fight back for control of your mind." Pidge stepped closer and closer to Shiro until close enough to grab his shirt and pull him down to her height. Pidge used all the strength she could to push through and make contact with him before her body tried to kill him.
"I'm trying Shiro, I am. I can't do this for much longer but you need to know something,"
"What is it Pidge?"
"I will fight, I will come back home with you guys. We're going to get out of here, find my family and end this war, but for now I need you to know that...I lov-" and Pidge lost control yet again, leaving Shiro pondering what she was about to say and distracted.

The girl took her free hand and lunged it at Shiro who only just managed to move his face out of the way, throwing the girl to the ground and holding her there. He looked deep into her eyes to try and find the real Pidge, her body struggling and trying to escape his grasp.
"Come on Pidge, fight!" She kicked her legs around and wiggled her arms attempting to escape. An array of "Boo's" erupted from the crowd and distracted the Paladin enough for Pidge to escape, launching herself to the other side of the arena behind a pillar. "Pidge please, stay strong!" He bellowed. He walked cautiously in and out of each pillar and under the ones that had fallen over, staying as quiet as possible as not to make Pidge aware of his location but she already knew where he was and watched him carefully.

She would command her body to stop, trying harder and harder each time to gain control only to be thrown back by an unusual force. And then she saw it; her minds control panel. She made her way closer too it and reached out with her hand only again to be pushed back by a sudden black glow surrounding it. What could it be? She thought. After a little whiles thinking she looked through her eyes again, to see Shiro on the floor with a bruised face.
"No!" She yelled, seemingly through her body too. Shiro looked up at Pidge and is if he was looking at her through the body, he smiled, giving her all the hope she needed. She watched herself hit him some more and kick him in the gut, then going to grab a stone, the same one that killed the green blob. She knew there would be no going back from this is she didn't get hold of that control panel. Thoughts ran everywhere, memory's, trying to recollect who they knew had such magic. That's it, magic! Who else has magic who is close enough to have control?

Pidge gathered all her strength and tried to push through the barrier, but to no avail. She stood a further distance away from it this time, giving one glance to the scene in front of her; her hands gripping tightly to the stone with a sharp and pointed edge, moving closer and closer to Shiro. She knew she couldn't look at this for any longer. Taking a deep breath, she ran, straight towards the now spinning black orb, letting out a tremendous war cry as she went. It was now or her friend would be dead. And it would be on her hands - quite literally.

She ran into the orb, the friction burning her skin. "Honerva!" She screamed. "Get out of my head!"
Shiro stared at Pidge, worried as he heard her scream, and the crowd stared at Pidge also but in disbelief. Their ruler, of course they knew that they were considered evil, but using this magic in the arena, this level of it, was considered wrong to any normal being. They knew there was no winning when it came to Honerva's magic, but this warrior, the Paladin, was winning. They were fighting back. And no one could believe it. They just wondered how on earth, or how in the galaxy, any one could withstand such a dark force. Shiro too wondered if there was something else in her. Another race. There had to be because...
"She isn't human."
