Osomatsu stared for a moment, trying to process what he had just heard
Suddenly his eyes lit up as an ecstatic smile spread across his face.
"Really!?" he shouted as he shot up from his seat excitedly.
Karamatsu was a little startled by Osomatsu's sudden shouting, but simply nodded in response anyway.
Osomatsu's face was filled with glee as he hugged Karamatsu, picking him up off the ground in the process and practically squeezing the life out of him.
"Karamachuu! Why'd ya keep me waiting?? Its lonely here without you~" Osomatsu said gleefully, squeezing the second born tighter.
"Osomatsu.. I can't breathe"
"Whoops sorry" Osomatsu said, loosening his grip. "Heheh sometimes I just forget about my dinosaur strength sometimes y'know?"
Osomatsu said, laughing as he spun Karamatsu around, occasionally tossing him into the air as if he weighed nothing.
Karamatsu was growing dizzier by the second but just laughed along with Osomatsu as if it didn't faze him.
When Osomatsu finally put him down, Kara could barely stand.
"Um sorry Kara. Guess I got a little carried away" Osomatsu said, chuckling.
Karamatsu fell backwards onto the couch before giving a thumbs up. "Don't worry m'finee" Karamatsu said, dazed.
Osomatsu chuckled in response. "Okay well I'm gonna go make some cake to celebrate" Osomatsu said, ruffling Karamatsu's hair
"You want any help?" Karamatsu asked, smiling.
"Nah I think I'm fine on my own, besides I don't think I feel like putting out a kitchen fire today" Osomatsu said, giving Karamatsu a sly look.
"Heyy!" Karamatsu said laughing
Osomatsu laughed along with the second born before responding. "Why don't ya find somethin to do and hopefully not set the house on fire."
Karamatsu gave a small nod. "Yeah okay". Karamatsu said, laughing in response.
Soon he found himself alone in the living room with no idea of what he should be doing.
He looked out the window, looking at the bright colors outside. It was a little darker than normal out there. It looked like it was about to rain or something.
Karamatsu's eyes scanned through the mass of plants outside until he spotted something in the distance.
He could barely make out what it was but he saw something pure black with large eyes staring back at him.
Karamatsu squinted. "Ichi?..." he mumbled to himself, now able to make out who it was.
Ichi was standing outside, hidden in the shadows as he stared directly at Karamatsu.
Karamatsu stared back for a short while before creeping towards the front door, slowly opening it as he peered outside.
It was really foggy outside today. Karamatsu stepped closer towards the black cat as he opened his mouth to speak
"What is it ichi- h-hey!" Karamatsu said as ichi ran into the forest.
Karamatsu soon ran after him, tripping and stumbling over things on the ground. He didn't know how much longer he could keep up.
Karamatsu ran farther and farther into the forest, it seemed to get darker and foggier with each step he took.
He was starting to wonder if he was gonna be able to retrace his steps from where he was. Was he lost again?
At this point, Karamatsu could barely see what was in front of him. It was so dark. There weren't as many animals or glow in the dark plants here. There were barely any at all.
"Ichi!" Karamatsu called out, hoping that he would hear the sound of the black cat's deep voice in return.
There was nothing but silence.
The only thing that could be heard was the faint sound of wind and Karamatsu's heavy breathing.
"Ichi-" Karamatsu barely had time to say before he tripped and found himself tumbling down a steep hill.
When he finally stopped, he had hit something hard. And God did it hurt. His his arm had bruised, his clothes, now covered in dirt and grass stains, and he had cuts and scratches all over.
He winced, clutching his bruised arm and sat up, trying to find the object that he had fallen into. I mean, the bruise hurt but at least he didn't hit his head or something.
Karamatsu looked up, his vision slightly blurry but he could make out what looked like a large, worn down stone covered in dirt.
He looked at his surroundings. There was a faint glow of a flower in the distance that made it easier to see what was in his environment.
Karamatsu sat back against the hillside, trying to catch his breath. Once his vision cleared his eyes widened when he realized that what he hit wasn't just a stone. It was a tombstone, the name covered by the dirt.
Karamatsu stared at it, not knowing exactly what he should do. He wanted to avoid it, to leave it be but curiosity got the better of him.
He leaned towards the worn down tombstone, placing a hand on the rough surface. He didn't know who's grave it was or why he hadn't left already but he went against his instincts and started wiping away the dried dirt on the stone.
The first words he saw were "Here lies.." in a really fancy font. He hesitated, wondering if this whole thing was even a good idea.
He took a deep breath before continuing and wiping away the rest of the dirt, revealing the name
Here lies the kind soul of..
Matsuno Karamatsu
Karamatsu felt his heart sink, reading that name. He jerked his hand away from the tombstone as if he had just touched fire.
Karamatsu quickly backed away from it, not wanting to be anywhere near it.
He felt like throwing up just looking at it. What the hell? Why was his name on it?
He suddenly felt cold. A chill ran down his spine. It almost felt like someone was breathing on his neck, despite him being alone.
"Karamatsu??" a deep voice called from the distance. Yup that was ichi's voice.
Ichi quickly maneuvered his way down the hill before staring karamatsu straight in the face, examining the look of fear in his eyes.
"God, you look like hell. You've got scratches all over your goddamn body. What happened?!"
Ichi asked, concern in his voice.
Karamatsu only pointed at the tombstone as ichi tried to process what he was looking at.
"Oh my God.." Ichi muttered, staring wide eyed at the tombstone as he stepped closer.
"Kara.. You.. You found him" Ichi said, turning around with an unreadable expression.
