Athena:

If I wasn't still so freaked ours that I had just given birth to a child, I would have been elated. My daughter had the typical golden hair of all my children, and her eyes were as green as her father's. I was beginning to have second thoughts about making her mortal, but I had decided, and I wasn't backing out. I chose to name her Sabia Aquiline.

In the bottle of her first meal, I had added a potion intended to strip her of her godly immortality. Little Sabia would keep her powers so that she could protect herself. I then personally carried her to the orphanage where she would stay till a home was found for her.

The orphanage was in New York City, New York. As I walked in the door, there was a couple at the counter talking about adopting a child. I walked over to them.

"I couldn't help but hear you talking about adopting. I unfortunately came here because I can't take care of my newborn baby girl. Would you want her?"

The couple asked to hold her, and I instantly realized that they were hooked. The woman handed her back to me. "What is her name?" she asked.

"Sabia Aquiline. I hope you like it. I don't want to leave her," I cried.

"We do. It's a very pretty name," the woman replied.

I signed away all rights to my daughter, and handed her over to her new family. It killed me to walk away.
