Sabia:
"Jacob," I called from the bathroom.
My husband's face appeared in the doorway. Even though it's been a year since the wedding, I still have trouble thinking of Jake as my husband.
"What's wrong, honey?" he asked me.
"Can you tell my professors I won't be in class today? I'm not feeling well."
"Yeah. Do you need me to stay home with you?"
"No, Ellie and Teddy will keep me company. Don't miss school because of me."
"All right," he said kissing my forehead and turning to leave for school.
I turned back to the toilet and vomited again. I hate being sick. After I was sure I was done throwing up, I stood to brush my teeth. The toothpaste container was empty, so I had to get a new one from under the sink, and I noticed something I haden't used in three months. I couldn't believe I didn't notice.
"Mom, Dad," I called to the sky. "Bring me to Olympus."
I felt water wrap around me, and my view changed till I was on Olympus. I was looking into the eyes of my father.
"Hey, Dad," I said as he wrapped me in a hug.
"Why did you call?" Dad asked.
"I need to talk to Aphrodite," I replied smiling.
"Okay," he replied walking me to a nearby house.
Dad knocked on the door, and a goddess, who was not Aphrodite, answered.
"Lord Poseidon," she greeted.
"Eileithyia," my dad said. "Where is Aphrodite?"
"I'm here," yelled a voice from inside.
"I'll talk to you later, Dad." I said hugging him before he walked away.
Eileithyia smiled, "Come, I could use some help."
She led me inside where Aphrodite was laying on a bed, and she was clearly in pain. Her stomach bulged, and she was breathing hard.
"I'm back," Eileithyia said to her walking around to be at her feet.
Eileithyia gestured for me to come around to her. I did so, and almost vomited from the sight. Aphrodite was in labor, and Eileithyia began giving her instructions of when to push. First came a little girl who I was instructed to clean, and next a boy who Eileithyia cleaned. There was no aura of power usually found on gods, so I assumed these children were demigods like my brother Thomas.
Aphrodite named them Maya and Christopher, and told us she needed to take them to their father on Earth. She left, leaving me with Eileithyia. I thought through all the myths I knew trying to place her name, but to no avail.
"I know what you came to ask," she told me.
"I can't remember who you are," I replied off topic.
"I am the goddess of childbirth."
Maybe she could answer my question then. Probably even better than Aphrodite could have.
"Am I?" I asked. She had said she knew what I was here to ask, so Eileithyia should be able to answer me.
"Yes, you are pregnant. It is a single child, a girl."
I gasped. Jacob will be so surprised when I tell him.
"Thank you, Eileithyia," I said smiling.
"I only told you what you already knew. You just didn't believe in your own instincts," she replied leaving.
I left Aphrodite's house to go find my parents. I actually found them together. Not something one would normally expect knowing who they are, but then again no one would even expect them to have a child together either, but here I am. I ran up to them and immediately turned around so as to not throw up all over them.
"Sorry," I said turning back to them.
My mother wrapped me in a hug, and as soon as she released me my father did the same.
"So, why are you here?" my mother asked.
"I had a question for Aphrodite, but Eileithyia ended up answering it," I replied. "I'm pregnant."
I got another big hug from each of them, and a mumbled congratulations. I couldn't help but smile till a girl walked over, and my parents, who were two of the twelve major Olympian gods, bowed to her. I followed suit, and the girl spoke.
Green smoke flowed out of her mouth as she said,
"A child of two mortal gods,
Shall reach eighteen and beat the odds.
A war between Hades curse and Poseidon's might,
She'll end the war with special sight.
Powers gained and powers lost,
She'll find true love no matter the cost.
Fighting against misery,
She'll fall for prophecy."
