Sabia:

So, I walked into Advanced Architectural Art for the second time today, and already sitting in the front row was the most gorgeous man I had ever seen. He had shaggy black hair that looked like he had just rolled out of bed. His dark obsidian eyes contrasted well with his pale white skin, and he was dressed in all black and white. Usually I don't like the bad boy type, but something about him just drew me in.

I quickly looked away from him so that I wasn't staring, and finished walking to the desk I was supposed to work at. Throughout class, I kept glancing over at him, but I didn't think he noticed. I hoped he didn't notice.

After class, I had to wait till all of my professor's students were gone to leave. Once everyone was gone, I headed out the door where I was ambushed by the guy.

"Hey," he said. "Are you free Friday night?"

"You're asking me out, and we don't even know each other's names!?" I asked him.

"Sorry. My mom always tells me I'm too blunt. My name is Jacob Lawrence, but everyone calls me Jake."

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Jake. I'm Sabia Walters. Everyone calls me Sabia."

"Well then, Sabia, are you free Friday night?" Jake asked again.

"Not really. I have two Yorkies at home, and one of them has stitches that I have to keep an eye on. It's bad enough that I have to leave them while I'm in class," I replied nonchalantly.

"I could bring over dinner and a movie if you like?"

I thought about that. This was the first time I've been interested in a guy since like tenth grade. I'm graduating with my Bachelor's this year, and can get a better job. I might as well start dating again. There really was something about Jake that really interested me.

"That's fine, but my dogs don't like strangers real well," I replied trying not to sound too excited.

I gave him my address, and we parted to go our separate ways. As soon as I reached home, I flopped on the couch with my dogs, and I tried to imagine what Friday was going to be like. Friday seemed like such a long way off.

I swear that when you're excited for something, time moves so freaking slow.
