Sabia:

"That can't be right," Aphrodite laughed. "Poseidon and Athena wouldn't hitch up for any reason."

"It's true. Athena wouldn't lie about something like that. Especially since I wasn't created like her demigod children," I told her.

"A normal birth for Athena? Well I guess anything's possible."

Just then my parents reappeared each with something to give me. Poseidon held a trident that shone bronze, and Athena carried a shield that looked suspiciously like Aegis, the shield of Zeus. Both walked over to me. Athena reached me first.

"Sabia, this is a copy of Aegis. This shield will protect you, use it well."

"Thank you."

Poseidon was next. "This is a copy of my trident. One more suited to a woman's hands."

"Thank you. Both of you," I said taking the gifts.

I was awed by what they had given me. From each a form of their sacred weapons, and I planned to use them well, but before I left, I had one more question.

"Don't I need Hades's permission to enter the underworld seeing as both of you are gods?"

Poseidon scratched his head not sure, and Athena smiled and spoke, "No, you do not. When you were born, I gave you a potion that made you half mortal. This way you could protect yourself, and still live as a human. Because of that potion, you are able to go places as a hero rather than as a goddess."

"Then I will leave at once. I will save him Aphrodite, I promise."

As I turned to leave, I heard Aphrodite whisper, "I know you will."

The first thing I realized was that I had no idea how to reach the Underworld. I wished I had stayed and asked how I would accomplish the task I had offered to accomplish. I was about to turn back around when I noticed someone was following me. This wasn't a stalkerish type of following, more like a curious type. I turned to ask who they were, when the person spoke.

"Hello, I'm Thomas. Can I help you?"

Thomas had stormy grey eyes and short honey blonde hair. He was probably around thirteen, but something about him seemed out of place.

"Hello, Thomas. Why would you think I needed help?" I asked.

"Well you just got off Olympus, so I figure you're on a quest or something. I thought maybe there was some way I could help you with it."

I looked behind me and realized that I was in Greece at mount Olympus. Okay, so that's cool.

"You believe in the Ancient Greek gods?" I asked him incredulously.

"I better. My mom is one."

"Which goddess?" I asked as realization dawned on me.

"Athena," he said.

I looked him over again, and realized he was right. I saw mom's stormy grey eyes, and the same honey blonde hair as me. This boy was my brother.

"Well then," I said. "It would seem we have a lot in common. My mother is Athena as well."
