Chapter 1. Paper Planes

Ever since I got framed by both of my arch-nemesis', Jasmine Hanks and Kade Martin, and ultimately got expelled out of my school and had to move to a new school called Caesar High, I haven't exactly been too thrilled about it, what with having to join the school after the year is nearly over in just a month and now I have to join in the middle of the last semester. My mother and father both said I need to clean up my act and quit these petty little pranks I supposedly have played before; yes, that's right, my parents don't even believe I am innocent.

"First day of your new school," my father grins, "You promise you'll stay out of trouble?"

"Dad, for the hundredth time, I didn't do it!" I exclaim and he waves me off.

"I want to believe you, sweetie, but Jasmine and Kade made a very hard case with pretty good evidence that you did." he shrugs sympathetically.

I roll my eyes and snatch my back-pack up and hang it over my shoulder loosely and turn around to exit the front door of our apartment until my mother stops me in my tracks.

"Aria, honey, have a good day!"

"Sure.." I mumble and slam the door shut behind me.

I exit our apartment and enter an elevator shaft, hitting the lobby button which takes a minute or less until I get down there, since my family lives on the eleventh floor of the large apartment, I have to walk a lot just to leave this place. Once outside, I stalk towards my silver Mazda 2 that is parked on the side of the road and hop into the drivers seat, and zoom off to my new school. Ten minutes pass until I arrive to the rather large high school and park my somewhat small car into an empty space in the enormous parking lot. It used to take me a half hour to get to my old school, so I guess the time difference is an advantage.

I grab my bag and exit my car and begin to walk inside the building once I lock my car doors up safely and responsibly. My combat boots hit the waxed floor, making my shoes squeak a bit as I enter the school building to observe the large mass of students rushing through the halls while their voices carry throughout the entire school hallways.

Making my way over to the school office, I notice that a window is open to reveal a nice looking lady with thick-rimmed glasses, appearing to be around the age of a thirty-year old. I place my note that my parents gave me on her desk and she glances up at me with a small smile and takes the slip.

"Oh, you're new here?" she asks warmly.

"Yes, I just transferred schools." I nod in confirmation.

"Well, it's pretty late in the year, don't you think? Why, I am surprised the school board even let you join, but let's get you settled in." she says and types some things into her computer with her rosy pink painted nails.

After five minutes of questioning me about my personal information, she hands me a slip and some heavy books and a schedule. I shift the books a little and glance at my schedule to notice that my first class is in two minutes. I thank the desk lady and quickly run down the halls by following the guide on my map to try and find my first class which is Pre Calculus, right after I place my books into my new locker of course.

I stop in my tracks once I am in front of the correct classroom and slowly open the door, swallowing my nervous jitters and mustering up the courage to enter my new classroom. Although, right as I open the door, a paper airplane soars right towards me and hits me right in the eye, making me drop my Pre Calculus book and grip my eye painfully while I silently seethe, accidentally letting out a small scream.
