i will re-write later♥Chapter 6. Good Enough
Once Jasper steps out onto the roof, I know I can't take back my answer, therefore, I would either have to tell him the truth, lie, or just pants him and run. Although, pantsing him would be very awkward and he would probably call the cops on me for being a creeper, so I decide to tell the truth. Well, at least some of the truth, just leaving out the whole reason why I am even crying.
"What's wrong?" he asks as he stands beside me, placing his elbows on the edge of the roof.
"I just.." I trail off.
Think, Aria, think!
"I've just been getting some messages from an unknown number and it's starting to really freak me out, I guess.." I explain.
That wasn't a total lie, because it is starting to freak me out a little, but the only thing is, it isn't a stranger; it isn't an unknown number because I know who it is.
Jasper glances at me for a while, probably regretting ever asking to talk with me.
"Just block the number," he shrugs casually.
If only it was that easy..
"Right, I'll try that." I awkwardly tell him.
"I saw you at lunch today." he comments.
"Oh, yeah?" I say.
"That Noelle girl is kind of a jerk, huh?" he says and I let out a small laugh.
"Yeah, well apparently I wasn't good enough to be at her table or something." I half-heartily chuckle.
"Who said you weren't good enough?" he inquires.
"Plenty of people, actually.." I murmur.
We both stay silent from the awkward atmosphere I just created. Jasper's blue eyes swim with an emotion I can't decipher, but he quickly looks away and it vanishes just as quick as it came. He shuffles to his left and plucks a flower from the flowerpot that is growing on the edge of the roof, probably because someone planted it there; someone from the building.
He glances towards me again and hands me the lily flower and I twirl it between my fingers, wondering what made him be so kind to me. I tilt me head up at him since he is taller than me and he flickers his eyes back and forth to my left and then right eye.
"Don't let anyone tell you that you're not good enough." he says.
I swallow visibly, shocked from how sincere and sad his tone is. He turns on his heel and stalks back to the latch door, exiting the roof without another word, leaving me stunned.

The next morning consists of me falling asleep in most of my classes due to lack of sleep. Although, when my AP class arrives, I find it hard to fall asleep since I feel everyone's eyes on me. Most of the class is peering back at me or sending me quick glances for a reason unknown.Mrs. Bennett continues to drawl on about her date last night which nobody really pays attention to, therefore, I result to music. Placing my headphones in my ears, Mrs. Bennett's voice drones out and I am left with the soft musical tunes of one of my favorite bands, The Paper Kites.
Someone suddenly taps my shoulder and I turn around to see Nathan in the seat behind me.
"What?" I whisper, taking out one of my ear-buds.
