After Peyton and I admitted to each other that we still loved each other, life was great. She was quickly able to recover from her attempt. I did my best to support her through everything. Once we returned back to school after winter break, the whole school was happy to see that we were back together. We were once again the couple everyone wanted to be. Peyton also agreed to bump up a grade, so we were now in the same grade, which was incredible since we now did not only have Calc together but English and study hall too.

Our senior year was one for the books. We won the football championships, which was always a dream of mine and Peyton's cheer team won state. I was scouted by Northwestern University the whole year and was offered a football scholarship in the fall.

As for Peyton, she was offered full rides from Stanford, Berkley, and Northwestern. I made her promise to choose the school she really wanted to go to and to know that we would always be together, no matter where she went to school. But, she swore Northwestern truly was her dream school. The nice thing was it was only about a half hour away from where our families lived, so we got to see the

College was an adventure, to say the least. We both made incredible friends and had a blast during football season, especially considering Peyton made the Northwestern cheer team. I was majoring in accounting and she was majoring in biomedical engineering. She, obviously, did incredible and I actually did pretty decently in school. She ended up finishing first in our class out of 5,300 students. I know, insane. I finished 2,403rd in our class, which made me happy because I was in the top half. We both had gotten job offers after college and were moving into an apartment together.

As for Josh, he struggled over Meredith for a long time. But, he ended up going to Madison in Wisconsin to play football. And there he met Hadley Owens. Josh had proposed to her at his last football game. A  year or so later, a baby boy named Clayton was born. It made me happy to see Josh happy again.

The Emerson's were released from prison, but are restricted from seeing Peyton of course and I filed a restraining order against them. They may be my birth parents, but I have no desire to see them.

Little did Peyton know, but tomorrow was going to be the best day of her life. I was now 24 and she was 23. We had just finished moving into our apartment. But tomorrow I was going to propose to the love of my life. I had set everything up and it was going to be absolutely perfect.  We were planning to go home and visit our families and we had a high school reunion. I had to get permission from her dad first, obviously. I had talked to my parents already and they were completely on board. I planned to ask Mr. Simone tonight.

"Hey, Grey, ready to go?" she asked me coming into the kitchen with her bag packed.

"Yup, let's hit it," I said, giving her a quick peck on the lips. We went out to the car and I took her bag and mine and threw them in the back seat.

"I'm excited to see our families, it's been like 2 months," she said as I started to drive.

"Me too," I replied.

"Okay, so let me refresh your memory with the plan. Your parents and Maggie are meeting us at my parent's house for dinner. Josh, Hadley, and Clayton are coming too, but not until dinner. We are all staying at my parent's house and then going to the high school for our reunion. After that, we are heading back here, sound good?" she asked me.

"Yeah, for sure. I can't believe five years have passed since we graduated," I reminisced.

"I know, I feel old," she said with a laugh.

"Oh my god, Peyton, your 23, not old," I chuckled and we laughed. We spent the rest of the car ride jamming out to throwback songs. Of course, Replay by Iyaz was our favorite jam.
