Ayman:
While dad was finishing up paperwork, I kept checking the clock, waiting for him to arrive so we could leave. Thank God, we had a successful meeting with one of the leading Indian companies, and the deal closed. They also regarded our ideas as brilliant.

While I waited, I kept watching all of the scenes involving Mayra and Anisa. Although I was relieved to see Anisa again, she had changed dramatically, and I knew she and her parents were hiding something significant; I could sense in my heart that she had been through a traumatic event, which is why she had built walls around herself.

She used to talk to me and the hated crowd, but these days it seemed like she wanted me to move far away from her damnit. It hurts when someone you love pushes you away.

I want to reconnect with my old best friend. Despite my declaration that she was mine, she has refused to give me access to everything, even though I wanted to safeguard her care for her. Now that a week has passed, the doctor said she is healing nicely because she was taking her prescription drugs on time and coming to our joint physical therapy sessions with the nurse. She was even able to stand on her own and take baby steps at times.

"What happened to you while I was away, Anisa?"I questioned myself and wondered.

Anisa:

"Dear one day or the other you will have to tell him he's your soon to be husband,"mom and dad were trying to explain to me and convince me since past hour but I kept declining I was not ready again to be with someone.

"I know mom but once I marry him he will know everything whatever  I have hidden every secret every scar all the things I have been silent about,"I tried to reason them.

"You have been silent for his sake now you just tell him he needs to know for you have to start afresh everything with trust and honesty,"mom explained to me some stuffs while dad sat there with sad face and weak smile.

"She needs to tell me what aunty?"we heard third persons deep husky voice and I glanced up at door immediately closing my mouth and looking at him there he stood Ayman  without blinking an eye waiting for my answer.

"Mhhh you both solve your problems we will be in next room,"such amazing parents I have Alhamdulillah but leaving me in such situation always despite me pleading them with my eyes they just left leaving the door open and I know he won't move and inch and go back to his house or office since it was already past office hours.

"We were just talking about the side effects of a brain tumor," I tried to say, but I felt guilty, as I always do when I lie. He narrowed his brow with a stern expression, as if he knew me all too well.

"That is not what I just heard, and you never knew how to lie," he said, and I turned away.

I turned my head slowly in his direction and fixed my gaze on him as he said, "Stop running away from me once."

"Tell me about your problems; I will not run away," he said softly, and I nodded.

"Something happened during the course of 12 years," I began, closing my eyes. When I opened them, he gave me a worried look because he was unable to touch me until our wedding, at which point we maintained our distance from one another.

"Please do not freak out."I wanted to make sure he would not lose his cool, flee, or think less of me than I do.

I nodded as he said, "I will not just tell me am all ears."
