Anisa:
I was now feeling much better, with fewer aches throughout my body, and I could walk slowly without a walker, and my speech was improving. It was almost the middle of October, and time was flying by, with only about a month until my wedding because he responded in short, we did not communicate.
I realized that if we keep meeting and communicating, the shaytan will intervene and cause many misunderstandings, so we should wait until after the wedding. Mom also stated that once love begins after the wedding, it will be halal and pure.
Everyone appeared to be busy; dad was attending meetings after meetings, and Ayman and his family rarely visited after writing both sides invitations; as a result, I rarely saw Ayman.

This also reminded me of one of painful memories.

Wedding ceremonies...mehndi party.
In our families guys and girls we are'nt allowed to see one another one month before marriage so we din't but one night Iqbal just surprised me on mehndi party night.
Flashback:
Once my henna was applied I was just entering in my room and someone caught my wrist and pushed me inside the dark room until I screamed little and my mouth was shut with a large and warm hand.
"Shhhhh it's me Iqbal,"he whispered in loving voice and my eyes were wide open.
"It's not right,"my innocent self told him and he just shook his head.
"Everything is going well," he said in a low voice, and at first I was perplexed as to why he was saying that; I assumed he had some other hidden meaning, but since he was so loving, caring, and forgiving, I just shrugged it off and let everything flow naturally.
"I can not wait till the end," he said, his words seeming even more confusing now, but I was so engrossed in the process that I did not even realize I was beginning to like him.
I finally pushed him out the door, saying, "Please go. If someone saw us, we would be dead meat."
I grinned to myself and asked Allah to lead me to a better life, not realizing that He had already prearranged everything for the best.
Flashback end.
Even though I know it all happened when I was 22, and I will turn 25 on October 25, it still hurts because it was not that long ago.
Although I learned a lot and am grateful to Allah for sparing me from Iqbal, it is not easy to forget some things.
"Hi, how are you? My beautiful daughter seems to be lost in her thoughts."I turned to face my dad when he spoke. He has always been resilient and has endured a lot, but he has always said that his mother has never left his side. He feels grateful to Allah for sending him such a wonderful mother.
"Nothing, dad. Just thinking about the past and the future," I told him honestly, and he smiled.
"Forget the past, dear, and live in the present; perhaps whatever happened was for the best, and Allah saved you from something worse happening to you." His words have always inspired and motivated me.
"Yeah, dad, I am trying; it is just that the wedding is approaching and I know people will talk and bring up the subject again," I tried to tell him. I had always been insecure and disliked attention, but that one night, everything was focused on me.
"Let them talk, they do not know you or what you have been through; only Allah knows," he said, kissing my forehead.
"Let us go for dinner; your mom has been waiting," he said with a wide smile. SubhanAllah, just the mention of Mom's name brings a smile to his face.
Mom's sweetest voice made us stare at her as she continued to talk, not realizing we were already seated for dinner while we were dragging our chairs and becoming comfortable.
We had reached the kitchen door by now, and dad was smirking and just leaning on the door. I wondered what he wanted to tell her as well. "Ahhhh I hate it when someone tells me something and does not complete it now he said I want to tell you somethig and he said I will tell you later," mom was muttering to herself.
"I will not even be at peace now until I know he always does this and leaves me hanging," she complained to herself. I narrowed my eyes and poked my father on the head, but he just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing; he was clearly enjoying it.
I followed his gesture and went into the kitchen.
"What is for dinner, mom?"While taking something out of the oven, she had her back to her father when I asked.
"Pizza, since you all enjoy it," she remarked as I assisted her in slicing slices.
Mom froze like a statue, as if she had said something hurtful about her beloved husband, when Dad said, "I heard you were complaining about something."
Once dinner was finished, we just sat for a while until there was a slight knock on the door. "Nothing, I was just praising my husband," she replied.
"Expecting anyone?"When I asked them both, they exchanged glances with me as I went to open the door.
I opened the door, and everything happened so quickly that I did not even have time to scream. Instead, someone closed my mouth, dragged me outside, blindfolded me, and made me struggle until I became exhausted.
"Leave me go," I said, attempting to take my hand away from him because all I could see was the darkness.
